I've finished the game several times on both Windows and Pocket PC. The better strategy is to keep your fish alive longer so that they drop diamonds instead of coins.
I had Insaniquarium 2 when I was 12 (addicting as HECK) and I eventually had every "pet", so I had A. A pet that helped to makes more money, B. the punching-penguin pet that makes money come out of any fish, and C. an automatically money-collecting fish. It was epic. I also reset the clock like five times a day to keep the shop circulating; I ended up with an invisible color-shifting tye-dye mega-piranha. Suffice to say, if this came out on iPod (replete with DLC?), it would be pretty awesome. PopCap's ports are darn faithful, I must say, and Peggle is as addicting on the Touch as is is on the computer. -3D
