The problem with the app store is that Apple and Devs encourage numerous short and meaningless reviews instead of fewer substantive reviews. I live by the philosophy of altering the kids admonition of, "if you can't say something nice..." to, "if you can't something useful..." So an angry 12 y.o.'s "This game sucks!" or an ultra casual gamer who thinks The Sims on the PC is too hardcore's "This is sooo ADDDITIVE!" (spelling error intentional ) gets equal placement and viewership as a multi-paragraph review that actually tells you something useful. Unless enough folks go hunting and bump the useful the reviews, they may as well not be there for a lot of games. As for this game specifically. For free, certainly a good romp for a while. I bought it when it first came out and don't regret it, but did find the design overly repetitive and the controls, even after the update that allegedly improved them, are going to be a love hate affair (I never got comfortable with them even though I saw plenty who liked them). The big issue is that it's almost like a 3rd person Gun Bros boss mini game in that it's just the same things over and over, in similar environments, with a lot of loading screens, just to grind out that last purple mineral or whatever you need for the next gear upgrade to move on. I stopped playing very much after a while, and when my progress didn't transfer when I got my 5G touch last year, that the was end of this game for me. But, again, for free, well worth the look and 15 minutes it will take you to get a feel for the game. If the developers had stuck with it, it might have gone somewhere. Since they didn't, people now get to try an above average previous generation game for $0
@DBC Yeah, me too haha. It was a bit random it seemed. I had to go reread posts abs still didn't didnt find one. Whatevs! @Greyskull Musicians tend to take their expensive instruments more seriously. Plus, it's SOMETOMES easier to explain all features, assuming readers understand the lingo.
