This seems to be a big problem that is popping up for a lot of people these past few days, so I figured I would ask around here.

When I try to do anything on the app store, purchase new app, update app, make an in-app purchase, etc, I get a pop-up that says I have an invalid address. The issue seems to be that apple is getting really strict on your billing address, and something as simple as "Street" instead of "St" can block you form using the app store.

Many people have fixed this by using Apple's own business address, but these are people who don't use a credit card. For credit card user's, the address needs to match the bank records. Exactly.

But there doesn't seem to be a fix for everyone, however. Myself being one of the unfortunate ones. I'm not sure if it's because I use a p.o. box as my billing address or what, but boning I do works. It's really, really frustrating, because I can't update any of my apps and missing the opportunity to grab apps that have a temporary price drop is driving me bonkers.

    Anyone else having this issue?

Nothing like that for me but I did have a worrying moment a few weeks ago where itunes basicly told me my account had never been used. Luckily it fixed itself in an hour or two but it's really sloppy on apples part as I was thinking they had just cheated me out of every purchase I'd made.

I find it quite amazing a company as big as apple seem so useless at server related errors and temporary failures and their probably the only people on the planet that have to bring their whole site down to just update their page.

Don't use P.O. Box when entering your billing info but use PO Box instead and see if this will work for you.

Had this problem earlier and contacted Apple and said it indeed needed the correct billing address as my credit card now. So I called my bank and they gave me the correct billing address with all the correct characters and spacing, etc. Entered it as the bank had given it to me and haven't any problems since. I use a PO Box as well and didn't enter any periods after each character as some might do and it was accepted.

Agree Apple could have used other means than having a window come up continually of having an invalid address.

Yeah, I've tried every possible variation with no luck. I did call my bank and make sure I had the address exactly right, even making sure I had the exact capitalization of everything.

I even tried switching to a paypal account, but for some reason Apple doesn't seem to think my paypal account has a form of instant payment on it, which it does.

My only option at this point is to go buy and iTunes card and change my payment method from credit card to "none" and put in Apple's business address like so many others have done. They put this "feature" in because so many people were using fake address generators, but it seems all it has done is make many of us credit card users remove our legit info and switch to fake addresses, lol. Security fail?
