As the title says, I wanted to make a thread comparing same game titles on both devices, not discuss the number of apps on the app store or AT&T's 3G coverage etc, just drawing comparisons of games of available on both systems from a constructive point of view.

I own a 2G Touch and a HTC Desire Android phone. The only game I've played on both systems so far is Raging Thunder 2, and it's the feeling it's better on the Desire that made me to create this thread, I'm not flaming anyone or anything. I will post more detailed impressions a bit later.

I'm sure iPhone versions of many games are better, I just wanted findings from people that have played the same game on both formats (stating hardware would be of use also as the Android phones vary so so much).

And if no-one else is interested this thread will drop in to oblivion :D

Nice thread, David. I'm quite interested in this as well because the 4G Evo and Sammy Galaxy S are in my wish list against the upcoming 4G iPhone.

I am interested as well. Not sure how many games are on both or how many people own both devices but would love to hear what people have to contribute!

You can buy Doodle Jump for $3.99, but I hear it's kind of laggy. The Android Marketplace is pretty barren when it comes to games. Some of them mimic iPhone games, like Air Control instead of Flight Control. With Android, it's all about the emulators right now. SNesoid, Nesoid, and GameBoid work great (there's also a Genesis and Gameboy emulator from the same developer). Snesoid was just updated with larger translucent controls, which makes playing games like Super Mario World and Donkey Kong Country much easier. Most of the ROMS I've played work and run smooth. You have literally thousands of games available, some of which are the basis for a lot of iPhone games.

However, you're not going to find good games made specifically for the OS, like you will with the iPhone (although what constitutes "good" is subjective). At least not yet. There's definitely some really good iPhone games I miss on my Incredible, but I have an iPod Touch if I want to play them.
