I've been quite disappointed with Sony's PSP, it seems all they want to do in the RPG department is produce anime cartoons. I play Brotherhood of the Blade on PSP but the story lines are bland and they graphics are lackluster (for being a 3000 PSP). I played my Nintendo DS maybe a few times, I think that's all Nintendo deserves anymore. However, I think being able to play older gba games on the DS is excellent (Zelda for example). I still maintain that Nintendo's target audience is between the ages of 8-15. The PSP GO is the biggest rip off I have seen yet. For 250$ you might as well keep saving for the ps3. There is no umd or updated graphics processor so it should be cheaper to produce. I think that the current companies (Sony, Nintendo) have lacked in the field of competition with handhelds so the iphone and the mobile industry will do portable gaming some good by raising the bar .
Ok. I have played many games on my PSP. All of which have had a slight grainy/speckled look to them. The textures often seem to be stretched/low res and poor quality. I just feel that the iPhone's games have a more fluid, smooth, detailed, compact feel to the graphics. The iPhone's graphics just feel more fluid and neat. It's hard to describe. If you play a game such as ATV Vs MX on the PSP then play 2XL racing on the iPhone, you will know what I mean. The point is, people percieve graphical quality in different ways. Some like high detail, some like simplicity and smoothness, some like flashy and reflective, and some like a combination of all. I know people (including yourself) who favour the PSP's graphics over the iPhone's. But I myself prefer iPhone graphics, and that's my opinion. We both have different opinions. We both think differently about devices graphics. Simple as that really.
lol@Nintendo lacking in the portable gaming market. I'll agree that most of the games are too casual for "real" gamers, but they're succeeding in their mission... selling s***tloads of hardware and software.
+1, I find that in just about all PSP games whenever anything moves on screen, there's this weird blurry thing going on...
Ok, but the loss in quality is very minimal. I have played NFS Undercover on the PSP and it does look something like that screenshot. And anyway, it's Sony's fault for not allowing screen dumps to be taken and saved as a png.
As I said before, the PSP handles it's things with interlaced video, giving a grainy and "lines" aspect to the animation. That is the fault of the device, not its games.
Ignore him. He knows the video I posted is awesome, he just decided to ignore it and keep on pretending he's got an ounce of reason.
It doesn't matter if it's the games or the device, the end product still looks shite. Therefore: iDevice>PSP>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>DS
That wasn't really neccassary was it? ..... starting to turn into nerd rage. Let's keep the discussion, as a discussion.
Totally necessary. Respond to someone else's lack of reason with your own, they weren't going to learn anything anyway.
They just gave their opinion and you insulted them back. However minor an insult may be, an insult is an insult, and that usually leads to an arguement.
I saw it, and watched nearly the whole thing, and to be quite honest, I didn't get it. There were so many explosions, I had no idea what the game was about, what genre it was, or anything. Just explosions..
