Couple of questions here: Anyone ever send their iPod Touch in for a new battery under warranty, and be successful? If so, how bad was the battery life? And, what would you say on average is your battery life on graphics-intensive games? I sent mine in recently to get a replacement battery, because my iPod started getting 20% battery warning after playing for 25-35 minutes. It seemed extremely low to me, but Apple just sent me an email back, saying the battery "meets Apple specifications", and I'm considering whether to complain or not.
Apple said: "We regret we were unable to complete the iPod service you requested because your service request specified a battery issue; however, a diagnostic evaluation has determined a hardware failure affecting another component of the iPod, other than the battery." So... they sent back my iPod because I said the battery was messed up, but it was actually some other piece of broken hardware that was affecting the battery. That is completely asinine to not fix the other hardware issue that they found as it is under warranty. Sorry, just blowing off steam.
