if you want hours of pain and frustration, then go on ahead. HAHA jk xP. it's honestly an amazing game, but yes it does take the patient player to get through some of the tracks, even on "easy". actually the last one on "just learning" took me even a few trys.. heh but yes for the price, i would definitely pick this 5 star game up.
To answer the topic. No. It's better than what everyone says! Anyway, pick it up for 1.99, just keep practicing and you'll enjoy it. Highlight the post
It's an awful, awful game, and everybody's praise thus far has been nothing more than a giant conspiracy that goes deeper than you can possibly imagine.
jet car stunts honestly is amazing The only thing poor about Jet Car Stunts may be that you can't listen to your own music. Plus, the levels are pretty tough, like the "Easy levels" actually take determination to get through. But the challenge makes the game so fun and replayable! The graphics are great, and i think JCS is the best racing game on the whole itunes store. I also have NFSU, it's cool beating the heck out of cops and all, but JCS's driving mechanics are actually more realistic, and are more challenging and replayable. But you can't upgrade your car, like NFSU. THat's another thing. But i personally enjoyed JCS better, and I usually don't really care for racing games anyway! Oh yeah, and Soosiz has a lite version, so you can try that out. Hope this helped.
It does have replay. First of all, the platform levels are tough, so it takes lots of replays and learning the track to get a gold medal. The time trial levels give you something to beat everytime. Plus, there are achievements to unlock. When your'e all done with that, it's fun to just explore the crazy environments all over again.
Wow, a lot of people posted while I was gone. I bought it and it's amazing, really addicting. I've gotten to the later Easy levels, and they have taken my a little while, but it's not a frustrating hard, it's a rewarding one. Thanks guys.
Not having music is really not that big of a deal with this. You don't even notice that it's not there. The sound effects are really nice! Once you get used to everything it's such a fun & addictive experience. For the price, you can't go wrong. I got tons of great "black friday" deals and I still go back to this one. It's pretty amazingly fun!
damn, you thought it was gay, thats messed up. but seriously, this is a great game, but difficult as ****!
I've beaten every level in the game except Impossible E (i.e. can't do the last jump yet), and don't regret wasting any of the *many* hours spent playing JCS since buying it. Spending $2 was a non-issue. Only the Tap Tap games and a few others on idevice have given me so much entertainment for the money. I could spend hours just super-setting two tracks in JCS without getting bored, or pick it up and enjoy any track picked at random in either mode; it's always fun, even when it's frustrating. Aside from the lack of music and excessive learning curve *for new players* , the only real con is that the game has no true multiplayer and uses Openfeint instead of an in-house leaderboard service for best times, making JCS just as susceptible to cheating and bugged score submissions as many other Openfeint games (e.g. Geodefense Swarm), adjusting for the time elapsed since JCS was released. For example, Intermediate C in time trial mode has 5 laps - like every TT track - yet the current #1 has been listed as 47 seconds for quite some time (#2 is about 2:24:00). Seeing such an entry does not detract much from the JCS experience, but it could be a little discouraging to those who enjoy playing such games competitively, given that some of the entries immediately below could also be bogus (i.e. the 47 seconds time could be a "decoy" laid by hackers in order to distract administrators from other cheating). A Youtube replay upload feature would have helped offset such anomalies, but when you consider that a game such as Real Racing was originally released at 5 times the price ($9.99) of JCS, it's hard to fault the devs for omitting that feature. So in some respects you get what you pay for (i.e. no multiplayer), while in others you're getting more entertainment value than most would have thought imaginable even 6 months ago.
Yes, Jet Car Stunts is amazing! If you've ever played TrackMania, then you'll know exactly how this game is.
It's quite fun and pretty addictive but really difficult to clear the stages... even on EASY mode, and you'll feel it's already difficult lol...
