I want a 2D platforming game (like Super Mario Bros) but where you go through the levels and the character has a variety of weapons to use such as guns and things like that. I've been thinking, a game like this made by Halfbrick featuring Barry Steakfries would be so awesome But anyways, anyone know a game similar to this?

Tons of weapons (including a gravity gun like in HL2), interesting level designs, cool looking monsters, huge bosses, and an actual story (sort of) to pull it all together.
