Ok well I decided to revive this thread because I'm still looking for my perfect police simulation game. I bought SWAT 4 a few months back and I still play it (I highly recommend it) as well as Rainbow Six but they aren't exactly what I'm looking for. Although you do play the role of somebody in law enforcement, what I'm looking for is the simulation of you living the life of an actual patrol officer (like the ones you see in patrol cars, on bicycles, motorcycles, etc.). Somewhat like the True Crime series but even more true to life and playing an actual officer in uniform responding to calls (e.g. bank robbery, traffic stop, etc.). I can't find anything like this, I did find a Half Life 2 mod fitting exactly what I want in the making (read about here: http://www.moddb.com/mods/police-simulation) but it seems the project was abandoned as soon as it was conceived. Anyone have any ideas on any games like this but isn't some full-on tactical shooter like SWAT 4 and Tom Clancy games I mentioned but rather a true simulation game of a uniformed officer?
So basically you want GTA in reverse? Not sure there is anything like that, if there was it'd probably be quite well-known so you'd have heard about it. Otherwise it'd likely be some really niche simulation game like those bus driving games that no one likes... and probably wouldn't be very good.
