There are regulations in every country. Something that is legal in US doesn't automatically make it legal everywhere else. Even if there is going to be no problems with the device, you still gotta get the papers done. You gotta follow the local rules. Or maybe you could just drop some bombs on them and make them accept the ipad without any certification. Too bad they don't have oil...
Here's an article that makes a bit more sense. Basically, crappy planning on Apple's part. Even universities are starting to ban it (making it a bad netbook replacement).
Ya, but some of those University's are banning it because of a possible DHCP Client error that messes with other users Wifi.
