    Hi,
I signed up for Itunes via Linkshare a while back. I tested my first purchase and it worked but it took 2 days+ to show up in Linkshare. I just did another test earlier today and I don't see anything yet even though linkshare is now onto tomorrow's date. Is this normal to have to wait 48 hours+ to get reports on transactions?

    Thanks.

    Yes, it's usually a 2-3 days behind. :)

If you are moving a lot of sales it's more like four or five days to get 95 to 99% of your sales/commissions. I've even seen numbers jump a little up to a week later.

...but this is still faster then TradeDoubler (iTunes/App Store affiliate program in Europe) where it's like a week or two to get your sales!

I know it sounds n00bish, but what advantages does Linkshare give you ? I've seen tons of people use it, but couldn't find any useful info about it... Help me please :)

LinkShare, per se, doesn't give you an advantages, they merely facilitate the iTunes / App Store Affiliate Program for Apple in the US and Canada. It's using this affiliate program that is the advantage.

In a sentence the affiliate program is a marketing program by iTunes that rewards app/web developers for sending traffic to them with a 5% commission over a 72 hour buying window for the people you sent there with a special affiliate link. It's essentially another revenue source for app developers.
