I had planned to download the second half of this seasons "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" for my wife today, so I deleted a lot of my games, even GTA so I could get a good amount of space. I was going to download 4 episodes today, and one more tomorrow once the new episode became available. I cleared 1.5GB of space on my once full 8GB device, and bought the first episode (~45minutes long). Then the iTunes app shows it's about 650MB!! My pre-download research led me to believe a video this long would be about 250MB max. Now I'm looking at about 2-3 episodes will fill my remaining 1.5GB. Very bummed. Is there a setting or anything I can change to lower the bit rate/quality to lower the space needed. I want to store several episodes at once, and not have 1/2 to 1 hour download times! Is this possible?and possible from just the iPhone? I don't have a USB sync cable as my last one broke. Please, any help would be appreciated! I know I can pirate them at about 150MB and watch via dTunes, but I don't want to do that... Might have to though :(
