I am another one of those that find the game more frustrating than fun hence its no longer even installed. I want to have fun not have to work through frustration for it. :)

    Cheers

Just to let people know that there will be an update in Jan, which one of the things been added is a casual mode - this makes the game more accessible to play... So for people that gave up, give it ago again :) You may be surprised!

    Over-hyped!

When I think of an over-hyped game I think of Minigore where people were hyping it before it had even come out!

Jet car stunts on the other hand had no hype (from what I can remember) before its release yet received praise when it came out. I would say this is not over-hyped, but hype that comes from people who have actually played the game and like it.

The “hype” of Jet Car Stunts seems to be similar than the hype for the first geoDefense: It came out of nowhere and offered a unique visual style, felt completely smooth even on the oldest hardware, had perfect controls and is very hard. You really have to learn to master the game. Each level is a puzzle on it’s own with own rules. But as you progress in the game, you really feel that you increase your skill and once you replay easier levels which at first felt unbelievable hard, you now master them at the first try.

But the thing I love most are the perfect controls. PERFECT! No other game has created tilt controls which are so spot on like in Jet Car Stunts.

And, overall, it feels so satisfying to fly around to a little platform and then use the normal and air brakes to land and instantly stand still and think “phew, I made it!!!”.

Love this game in the same way I love geoDefense and for the same things, even it is a complete different genre.

Jet Car Stunts rules because -
    1. The controls are perfect
    2. The graphics are brilliant (super smooth on a 1g touch, which is insane)
    3. Innovative - the air brakes and jet boost work really well
    4. Its a bit like trackmania otherwise
    5. That level where you have to boost up the huge ramp, fly through a few hoops and then through the finish gate is absolutely awesome.

The new update with a casual mode actually makes it possibly for most people to see the game now as well. The 10 restarts limit to finish a level was just stupid.

I wasn't sure if I was going to like this game because I'm normally frustrated by hard games and tilt controls. However JCS was different. Like advertised by them, I never blamed it on the controls when I lost. Also, when I lost it was kind of fun like someone earlier in the thread said. You either fly off the track miles above the ground or crash into something and the car shatters, both are very cool looking.

Pretty much, get this game now. It eases you in very nicely to the more difficult levels. If you take the time to perfect the earlier levels, the following levels will be easier. It is extremely rewarding when you a complete a track.
