I spend near 30hrs on kingdom rush at 75 stars now. It will probably take another 10hrs for max stars so I guess paying some cash to support the dev is a 100% yES! Looking forward for thurs release!
This is my top game for this week - even if nothing else strikes my fancy, it's bound to be a good week. (I hope other neat things come out too, though.) Glad to hear about the low size, just put WQ on my device and can't spare much atm. ;P
LOL 8$ for a character! And its not the only IAP hero... EA want us to pay the same amount of money that console games costs for iOS? First PvZ 2, now this...
This is Armor Games, the publisher's, fault, not EA. I actually don't think the developers, Ironhide, have much input as to the pricing.

Honestly, I am pretty sure I will be paidmium. My guess: $1 iPhone version, $3 iPad version. Confirmed: Multiple different dollar amounts for consumable in app purchase diamonds. Heroes: 3 for $3 each, 2 for $5 each, one for $8. So, a lot of money but a good game overall.
First of all, he isn't worth that much. The reason he is so much more than the others is that he is a dragon. He can fly, and can't be attacked by the vast majority of the enemies. Also he does area damage with most of his attacks. Many think he is over powered, but I personally don't. We shall see.
Sure, for 8$, what can expect but that? It costs more than 8 games combined (the regular price there) on its own! Should buy 8 games instead and support all devs, not just one...
Unfortunately there are not $8 worth of games form devs I want to to support anyway. However there will probably be sales on the heroes.
There are some people who would want to pay $8 to have it, and for others, it's not a big deal since 3 heroes come with the game for free. I personally don't like spending money on something that's essentially a single line of code enabling something, but in this case it's completely optional.
I can't say much but there are always other alternatives too. However, I would rather just buy the heroes but at a reasonable price.
