That looks awesome. But also makes me feel worse about the fact that iPad is still not available here :/ This does not seem right. Isnt the iPad supposed to be atleast 4times as big as the iPhone (both in terms of screen resolution and screen size)
The iPad levels are about 3 times bigger than iPhone levels. If you are referring to screen resolution, the iPad support 1024x768 and the iPhone 480x320, which in terms of pixels is about 5 times more. The reason the levels aren't five times bigger is that everything was simply too small, so we tried different sizes until it felt right, and about 300% bigger was "oh yeah, this is perfect".
The job the guys have done is really good, could feel a bit overpriced vs the iphone version, why I love soooooo muuuccchhhh, but the work done here is amazing...
Found this over at CNET where they compare iPhone and iPad games: http://news.cnet.com/2300-27076_3-10003037-18.html
The iPad version is simply amazing. Definitely a heavier device, but a huge leap forward when rolling the ball around! Great job.
It sounds very interesting, but I haven't looked into it yet (don't know how much information is available). I'm downloading the beta SDK right now. From what I've heard, it sounds pretty awesome.
Wow... Did you realise you just replied in 7 minutes on a topic which hasn't got a post for the last 38 hours?!
It depends on what you mean. I don't think it does anything other than enable us to send challenges to other people. I doubt they give us servers to run the game servers on if that's what you mean. But I haven't looked into the details. Keep in mind that true real-time multiplayer is in fact one of the hardest things to get right.
Not really, but I imagine that there are some levels that, say, have a door right in front of the goal hole that takes a set amount of time to close and you have to move around obstacles and reach the goal before the door closes and you have to restart
