Hi guys, maybe I'm completely wrong here, but when you receive a promo code it's not really ethical to write negative reviews and state things like "this game was soon deleted off my device" (as agent84 did). If you don't like the game, at least don't hurt the dev who gave you an app for free. Delete it and forget it. I would ask all of you who received a promo code and have not rated / reviewed the game yet to write your opinion and help me improve the game further. Thanks in advance! P.s. There are a few promo codes left. Please PM me if you'd like one.
Totally agree! Any negative comments via a promo code should be sent to the developer privately in my view so they can help fix any issues, giving bad reviews after being given a promo code is wrong in my view. At the end of the day if someone isn't happy they should give feedback to help make the app better, leaving bad reviews is a waste if you want the app improved! P.S, I gave this game a 5/5 as I found it to be a very good game!
Yes, after writing the review, I saw that I may have been too harsh. I appreciate the promo code, and will be more discreet in the future when writing reviews. However, I stand by my review of the game. As previously stated, I think this game has a ton of potential. A couple tweeks and a future update would be great. By the way Carlos, that review was mostly written by a couple friends of mine, who played the game on my device. Please don't call me out, individually, out on this, as it isn't all my fault. Please read the PM's I sent you. Libra Balance is a great project, and you should continue improving it.
I don't mind honest reviews: actually critics helped me improve the game and made me feel better. However this time I felt like you were a bit too offensive. Anyway, I can live with it, as I know this game is not for everyone. And saying this, I'm happy that many of you really enjoyed the game. After all, this game already reached thousands of players around the globe. Remark Maybe it's a bit strange for some of you that you actually control the platter, not the balls. This is as far as I know a unique control scheme for iPhone games, but it's probably familiar for those of you who've played WiiFit balance games. Regarding the physics: the gravity differs from scene to scene, and the balls' weights are also varying (even within a given level). This are slightly randomized values, therefore you'll get a new game experience upon every replay of the given levels. Should I have also emphasized this better?
You are welcome! (And yes, a review would be really helpful from all of you who have received a promo code.)
My thoughts on this game : It's a great idea, but it has a lot of flaws. First off the tilt controls are horrendous I'm sorry, but I usually play my iTouch with the screen facing towards me, but in this game you need to play "looking down" at your iPhone/iTouch. This is extremely annoying as I feel most people don't play tilt games like that at all. You should have it so that the screen tilts fine when playing with the screen pointed at you. Another thing that, was a good idea gone wrong, is the fact that you have to get "multiple" balls into the hole. This should be changed to 1 at a time as when there are 43298530487 balls on your screen, you easily get distracted, it's also hard to get them into the hole seeing how funky the tilt controls are. It just causes confusion and frusteration. The graphics are nice, 3D rendered well. The balls also have neat textures on them. So far I barely have beaten three levels, dunno about everyone else here, but this game... is a flop. Needs some work, I hope something gets done.
@SirDarkened: thanks for the feedback. Originally the starting position was at about 30 degrees, but I got many complaints why it's not flat. Therefore it got changed to the current flat mode. (Btw, Labyrinth is also using this scheme.) Anyway, maybe in a future version or update I will provide a way to customize this. I see your problem, however having multiple (maximum 6) balls at the same time in play is the key element of the game. Who has ever tried the WiiFit Balance game knows what I'm talking about. (If you've found Libra frustrating, just try the above mentioned game ). Having just one ball would make the gameplay way too easy and boring. Just a remark here: even children under 5 managed to get through all the PLAYGROUND levels. Ok, this is your opinion, but thanks anyway. I'm continuosly improving the gameplay and the controls, but, as already stated, this game is not for everyone.
The game was neat and had a Super Monkey Ball kind of feel. It seemed like the animation was slightly jerky at times though - like there was just a slight hiccup. I will try doing a reset on my iPod and give it another shot.
Thanks, this should solve the problem. But anyway, please let me know which level was where you had this issue.
