Loved this TD game. Unique and the best part about this is I can play it on the portrait form. I prefer games in portrait rather than landscape
Four towers and infinight. 4towers is pretty fun so far, it has a whole bunch of neat towers, enemies and bosses. It also has a small maps instead of gimongous large maps that won't even fit on an ipad. The insignia thing is mind boggling though. Personally, I think there should be less insignia pieces but more image related and more diversity. Infinight was very good. Though not very eerie (in contrast to what other people said) it still provided a good mood. The walking was awkward like dirk nowitzki at first but you get used to it very easily. The recording part was VERY good, it kept me hooked. Even when the game was absurdly hard, (~10 sentries? What is this, an army?) I still grinded through it just to get that single recording. The levels are actually pretty diverse, the behavior levels, river levels, ground-void levels. I can actually remember some levels instead of forgeting them like some pointless setting for the ending. Plus, the achievements had sweet pics and there were secret achievements that were fun to get like BRB. In the end, infinight is worth the buy, really can't wait for the sequel.
I'm loving this defense game! The graphics are great... I'm a big fan of minimal vector type graphics... But here it's done so so so well! The tutorial is great and sort of ongoing, which is nice, you're never stuck wondering at any point in the game... I also love the story! It's not too often you see a TD game with a story, and if you do it's never really interesting. But here, it's great! The little quotes before the levels is nice too... Adds a ton to the atmosphere. The progression through the levels is nice, and if you want, you can tap on an icon at te bottom, spitting them out faster or in clumps, and the upgrade system is awesome. Im really liking that you're not penalized for selling a tower, getting back all the money you've thrown into it so you can build it on the other side of the level... Very nice. Really, this is going to end up way up there with Sentinel 3 and Space Station Frontier in my favorite TD games folder. It's done so well, and you can tell that a lot of thought and time went into making this one great. Thank you for letting me try this before the release! It's an AWESOME TD game! If I run across anything Id like to see done differently, or come up with done suggestions, I'll definitely post them, but I dunno if I will, thus game is awesome! =oD
The game looks interesting but I wonder the following: 1) Will baddy waves have a decent variety of baddies or will they each be based on a single type of creature? 2) Will the baddies always travel through the map via a single path or will there be points, like 'T' or 'Y' intersections where they can turn randomly and therefore leaving the player unsure of their exact path even if replaying the same map? 3) Even if only forced along one path, can the exact makeup of baddies on a level be at least slightly randomized from play to play of a map (even if always the same number each unit type on each play, at least have their order randomized)?
Sorry for the late reply. To answer your questions: 1) Yes there will be a huge variety of creeps. There are 13 different types of creeps each with unique strengths, weaknesses and abilities. This number does not include bosses. There is a unique boss for each level. Here is a sample of the type of creeps in game: 2) Unfortunately no. This is so as 4Towers focuses on weapon selection and tower choice as a tactical decision. As there are 18 different towers that you can build in game (we believe this to be the MOST amount of towers you can access in the game of any TD out there) and selling towers have no penalty, there is a lot of complex decisions that can be made for each level. 3) This is a really interesting idea. We do not have this feature implemented. However, the different difficulty modes provide the user with a very very very different experience as they play them. Combining that with the unlocking of further tower abilities through the trinkets, you'll end up playing the same levels over and over again!
Cheese and Rice! Elite is damn tough... Still in the blue area. Last one before that areas boss. Dang! The creeps that disappear keep effin me.. I poison them and weaken but still no avail. I will not give up though! EDIT; Made it, let's just say IDATEN is your friend.
This is a pretty solid TD! I just finished the first five levels and I'm really having fun with it. I love the graphics and the gameplay is easy to learn. If you've played a TD before, you'll know what to do. Very nice game! Thanks LambdaMu!
Heh. The incoming patch actually increases the difficulty of Elite by alot. Internally, we found alot of veteran players walking through Elite with ease.... The new patch will be out on the day it's released!
This is the TD game that got me addicted after TD:LE . Simply outstanding. I wish I can leave a review in the App Store....
