Finally found one missing... My Zombie Date. I've got it and it is a dual stick shooter made with Gamesalad, not great but better than it looks and worth a mention for completion.

Starpod can be added to the list.

I haven't played it yet but apparently Death Rally has a dual stick shoot layout.

Also is Rogue Element is a pending RPG with dual stick mechanics.

Thanks for the heads up. Death Rally is an awesome game but not a dss(unless thay add movable turrets which would be sweet).

For the record Zombie Crisis 3D 2 is not a true dual stick shooter. There is only one stick to control direction and a button to initiate a wild dodge. I had high hopes about this one but it's a let down.

I'd include Doodle Army 2; the mechanics are the same it's just in third person rather than top down view. A similar decision might apply to Volcano Escape.

    Hey B34$T!

Just wanted to say that you have done a fantastic job on that list! :) I really appreciate you adding our game to the upcoming section.

    Cheers!

My personal Holy Grail of twin stick shooters on iOS would consist of a true wholesome game "inspired" by Shadowgrounds and Alien Breed. D.A.R.K and Revolt are fine in their own way, but ain't it. All those arena shooters are only making me more antsy for the "real deal".

Snipes! - A remake of the classic DOS game.

You are alone in a maze full of snipes. Your goal is to survive, and to rid the maze of those pesky snipes and the hives they are spawning from.

In the tradition of the classic DOS game, Snipes! features retro ASCII graphics, PC speaker sound effects and a huge set of difficulty settings (154 skill levels) with online leaderboards and achievements. Even though gameplay has been tweaked subtly to bring the game into the 21st century, the game stays true to its '80s roots.

Can you beat the snipes on every skill level?

Thanks for those. I try my best to get all dss's I see on Appshopper but some do slip through the cracks. I will add all those in the morning.

I also need to add a few more I have found but have not added yet.

Featured by Apple as a New & Noteworthy Arcade and Action game! ---------- Astral is an experimental marriage of Pacifism-style gameplay and two electronic sitar-themed tracks. Abstract visuals light up and change colors with the music, creating a playable light show. Precise controls let you deftly maneuver among ever-growing swarms, leading them towards strings which explode the swarms once plucked. The game features two modes, one for each track. One track is faster and upbeat, with arcade-style gameplay to match. The other track is darker and more ambient, with more relaxed gameplay. Best played with headphones.

If this question was addressed to me, then I'd say D.A.R.K is definitely superior to Revolt. The latter had a few annoying issues, such as the lack of enemy indicator icons at the edge of the screen, and the awkward manual camera.

As for arena-based DS shooters, I'm partial to Alive-4-Ever Returns and Age of Zombies.
