This goes out to those who dont want or can not care about graphics, sound, music, movies and marketing, but might be interested to participate a little in gameplay. We can only offer profit share, maybe some small upfront incentive, but we need to be sure not to be left in the dirt half through development. We will deliver: - Story (timetravel, conspiracy) - Intro, cutscenes, characters, extro - All graphics - All music and sound - Level design - Localization in english, spanish, german and italian by our native speaking team members + translations for french and portuguese - Marketing We will market this game over years in connection with our timetours travel apps. We can proudly say that after a year the first one still sells (not loads as it is niche but sales are rather increasing than declining). We know there are many talented programmers out there, like the guys who did Riddenhurst or Descent which get not rewarded for their talent and work because they dont know how to market their apps. And maybe some dont know that this alone can take hours a day and should be done regularly over a long time. We are not targeting the TA crowd actually but people who like board games, the historical context, women who often love Match-3, Mahjong style games, or in a nutshell people who dont think any app must be $.99 or free. What we want: - A level editor for a Mahjong style board game - The game logic itself (close to Mahjong) - About 10 extras, half of those are in the game logic itself - checking if the level requirements are met - A world and a level select screen (6 worlds with 20 levels each) - in the best case two slighty different mini games for mini bosses/bosses that use the same basic layout and the level editor. I want to use them for our travel/educational apps as "teaser" and could probably free some budget to have these paid upfront/additionally - support for Achievements & Leaderboards, we do all the setup (2 Achievments for every level, 1 or 2 leaderboards for every world) - A "movieplayer" for the intro/extro/cutscene/dialogue stuff (text being typed, comic cells moving in out, stuff like that) - Versions for iPhone and iPad (maybe Mac - we do all the graphics besides movies for 2048x1576 anyway). This can be Cocos2D or any other framework that gets the job done (in a performant manner). We think long term and would love to embrace a new team member at least for 2 games using the same basic engine with Rome, Maya and in the next year Egypt background - which all will be accompanied by travel and educational apps about the same topic. We would love to welcome another TA team member, we already have two for music and one for texts in the team. As you can see from the "waht we want" list we have pretty much nailed down a game idea, but this (from "The Art of Game Design") is what we think is the main rule of game design which should embrace (and yes take as chance to leave your impression on the game): How to Design a Game Step 1: Think of an idea for a game (it's easy, it can be anything!) Step 2: Try it out (no really - try it out - you have to play games to see if they work) Step 3: Figure out what's wrong with it, and change it so it is better. Then go back to Step 2! Or maybe you already have a nice game idea/engine already you likes to improve on and benefit from our presentation/marketing?!
