Just got back from watching the Lost season premiere on Waikiki Beach, and it was awesome (confusing, but awesome...) Thousands of people packed the beach to watch part 1 of the 2-part season premiere. The producers were there and gave a speech about how great it was to film in Hawaii, then each member of the cast was introduced as they walked onto the stage. It was so cool to watch it on a big outdoor movie screen with the sound of the waves in the background, and thousands of cheering fans. Afterwards they gave everyone a free t-shirt that says "Lost The Final Season 2010." If you can't wait until Tuesday, here are some spoilers of part 1--highlight to see: One scenario is that the after the explosion, the plane doesn't crash. The original people--Boone, etc.--are all on the plane. Charlie nearly dies in the plane's bathroom, where he was choking on a plastic bag of heroin, but Jack saves him. He is led off the plane in handcuffs, angry that Jack saved his life. Jack recognizes the other passengers, but they do not recognize him. He sees Jin and Sun, unhappy in their marriage. He see Locke in a wheelchair. He sees--and even talks to--Desmond, but they are strangers. The plane lands safely. In the other scenario, everyone is still on the island after the explosion, but not everyone is OK. We also find out more about the smoke monster. We see Jacob. I don't want to give everything away...and they only showed the first hour, so I don't know the whole story. It was pretty good though. And I got a free T-shirt, too!
Won't read the spoilers. But I am so jealous!!! did you get to meet any cast? I've got a party planned for tuesday! CANT FREAKING WAIT!!!
No, I've never met them, but I have seen many of them around out in public--at the mall, the grocery store, etc. It is kind of weird seeing them shopping in a store, because I am thinking, "Hey, wait a minute! You're supposed to be stuck on an island, not shopping for hot dogs!" Sayid is a lot shorter than you would think.. There was a benefit a few years ago for Hurricane Katrina, and they all posed for pictures and signed autographs for a donation. I got a big cast photo personally signed by each cast member, right in front of me. It was a lot of fun.
I was at Waikiki earlier on for a different purpose, I wondered where all the people were. Then a friend told me about the Lost thing. I was like "Man, you should have told me, I'd have gone with you!"
I made LOST party invites this year for the LOST addicts at my company! I can't wait!!!!! can't forget the motor pool costume I made! DI chocolate anybody?
