If you want this for the PC, Steam has it on sale for today only http://store.steampowered.com/app/97350/ I got it on my iPad Mini since it seems like a nicer way to play the game. I know some people prefer building their own decks, but I'm fine with having pre-made ones. lepeos Well-Known Member Jan 22, 2010 448 0 16 #2 lepeos, Nov 21, 2012 Hey what's the game like on the iPad Mini anyway? It's three times more expensive in iOS Outrager Well-Known Member Sep 14, 2012 130 0 0 #4 Outrager, Nov 21, 2012 I never tried it on a normal size iPad, but so far it's pretty fun on the iPad Mini. The couple of games I played didn't seem to be any worse or better than what I remember playing it on my PC. It was slightly more intuitive than playing on the XBox360 since you can just tap wherever instead of moving through each card to get to another. MidianGTX Well-Known Member Jun 16, 2009 3,738 10 38 #5 MidianGTX, Nov 21, 2012 What's it like for people who haven't played before? Any kind of tutorial? lepeos Well-Known Member Jan 22, 2010 448 0 16 #6 lepeos, Nov 21, 2012 Cool, going from an iPad 2 to a mini soon and this is a game I play quite a bit Outrager Well-Known Member Sep 14, 2012 130 0 0 #7 Outrager, Nov 21, 2012 Yeah, there's a tutorial (or maybe just text as you play your first game. I forget.) I don't have my iPad on me ATM to check. The game itself is free, but only has like the first 4 levels. Download it and try it out. I was already familiar with the rules of the game before playing the iOS version. lepeos Well-Known Member Jan 22, 2010 448 0 16 #8 lepeos, Nov 21, 2012 The tutorial is pretty good, it's how I learned to play pka4916 Well-Known Member Jun 6, 2009 2,584 0 36 Male Wisconsin #9 pka4916, Nov 22, 2012 Expansion is still $4.99 pjft Well-Known Member Feb 15, 2011 1,082 8 38 #10 pjft, Nov 22, 2012 I just bought the game and the expansion at a discounted price. There are also a lot of deck unlocks in the store - I assume that the decks are unlock able during the game, is there anything else I'm missing? sapphire_neo Well-Known Member Jan 20, 2011 3,934 0 0 #11 sapphire_neo, Nov 22, 2012 Is Deck Pack 1 also on sale? The normal price is $2.99. pjft Well-Known Member Feb 15, 2011 1,082 8 38 #12 pjft, Nov 22, 2012 Can't tell, I'm already at work now. I bought the expansion for 1.99$, though. sapphire_neo Well-Known Member Jan 20, 2011 3,934 0 0 #13 sapphire_neo, Nov 22, 2012 There are two expansions, one adds 5 decks, new campaign levels and challenges. The newer one adds 2 decks. Menneisyys Well-Known Member Dec 12, 2008 1,594 0 36 #14 Menneisyys, Nov 22, 2012 Doesn't seem so - currently, it's at $2.99. Menneisyys Well-Known Member Dec 12, 2008 1,594 0 36 #15 Menneisyys, Nov 22, 2012 Yup, the latter isn't on sale, unlike the other two. pjft Well-Known Member Feb 15, 2011 1,082 8 38 #16 pjft, Nov 22, 2012 So, what are they titled, so I know what to buy? Also, I'll ask again: the deck unlocks are not needed, right? I'm assuming the decks are unlockable in-game. Thanks! Shankopotamus Well-Known Member Mar 28, 2011 550 0 0 #19 Shankopotamus, Nov 22, 2012 Can you unlock all of the decks by playing the game? I guess what I'm trying to ask is; what are the things that you HAVE to buy to unlock them? Respox Active Member Sep 4, 2012 41 0 6 #20 Respox, Nov 22, 2012 The initial $4.99 IAP gives you access to 10 decks, multiplayer capability and a bunch of single-player content. By playing through the single-player campaign, the decks are unlocked sequentially. Playing with those unlocked decks in any mode will unlock additional single cards (that you can use to customize the deck) every time you win. The expansion pack IAP gives you an additional 5 decks, unlocked in the same manner, and some more single-player levels. Play through the campaign, then play with the decks to unlock more cards. You can also spend further IAP ($0.99 per deck) to fully unlock all the cards in that particular deck, but this is not necessary to get everything. There is one more IAP, Deck Pack 1, which isn't on sale. It gives you two more decks, but no single-player levels come with them. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
