Definitely not smooth. May be better using controllers. macplash Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2014 2,645 1,103 113 Male 3D artist Munich, Germany #3 macplash, Nov 8, 2019 I find camera movement very smooth although I had to decrease sensitivity way down from the default settings. What I’m struggling with is jumping and boosting while trying to adjust the camera angle. Using touch controls it all falls under the same finger which is tricky. Also the buttons are very small on iPad. I’d appreciate an option to rearrange controls to my likings. Tilt controls would be a great addition to control scheme. Also, in case of tilt controls I’d appreciate fixed camera always following my ball so I don’t have to worry about angles at all. Free look on/off seems to be bugged ATM because I see no difference between them. Last but not least, currently there’s no way to pause the game and enter settings while mid-level.. or is there? Not to only criticize controls, I’m really grateful for option to invert Y-axis right from the beginning. A lot of games are missing this feature and it’s added only after bringing this issue to the developer’s attention. Which usually takes time. So, thanks for that. Snooptalian likes this. Attempted to use touch controls, but 2 of the 4 buttons were not visible/useable. Perhaps using the PS4 controller will make a difference. I agree with you completely about the moving the camera and jumping/boosting but I did find that moving the buttons around a bit improved that for me, and you definitely need to decrease the sensitivity of the camera and controls. I like it so far, I’m not loving it yet but I’m quite enjoying it and will definitely put a bit more time into it. orangecan Well-Known Member Aug 9, 2011 2,000 150 63 #7 orangecan, Nov 9, 2019 And I’ve just hit a bug unfortunately. Halfway through level 7 (I think), and the move camera controls just stopped working. Could move jump etc but just couldn’t move the camera at all. Pausing didn’t do anything so had to restart. macplash Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2014 2,645 1,103 113 Male 3D artist Munich, Germany #8 macplash, Nov 9, 2019 Oh man! There’s the Pause button, you’re right! Thanks. I’m sorry, but I didn’t see that at all. I mean, seriously, could it be any smaller? Maybe it’s just me. It’s proven it’s going downhill with eyesight after reaching 40... Once again, sorry for missing that button. Other issues still stands though. bengarney New Member Sep 18, 2020 1 2 3 #9 bengarney, Sep 18, 2020 Hey guys! Dev here. I saw this linked from the news item and wanted to reply. First, you can go to the pause menu and hit Edit Touch Controls and modify the controls all you want. If you tap on them, you'll see that they highlight and there is a big white dot. If you drag the dot it changes the size of the control. Second, you're right - some of those boosts and other powerups can be hard to collect and use. We've added gates that make it much easier to collect items in fast paced levels. We have also added bounce surfaces that make it so you just have to move land or jump onto them, not press a powerup button. Finally, be aware that holding the powerup button will make the powerup activate as soon as you pick it up. (We also added help tips at launch with other useful tips!) Third - generally speaking, you shouldn't ever have to control the camera AND hit the powerup button at the same time. You should always be able to tap powerup button and go back to camera without having the camera angle change. You might have to aim the camera before you hit the button, of course, to go the direction you want, but indicating which way you want to go is sort of a necessary part of using powerups in general. Since Nov 19 we have fixed a TON of issues and added a LOT of new content. New MP modes, new levels, new cosmetics, new first time player experience. Please do check it out. We're really excited about this release and have been trying hard to listen to feedback and make the game significantly better every release. The sad reality is most players will never come back and look at the game again, no matter how much we promote it or improve it. But if even a few people come back and like what we did, it's worth it - and of course we hope to always give new players the best possible experience. If you encounter any crash bugs or broken behavior please contact us at [email protected] - that address goes to multiple people on the team so it is the best way to make sure we see it.
