I hope it's not an Mc2 sale. If that's the case we can look forward to a bunch of .99 cent noob hackers
MC 2 sale in anticipation of a sequel http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=105028 IGN posted a vid.
Maybe it's just me but I get the feeling they are not even hyping up March of heroes, like it's almost a side project for them. The real effort is Mc3, which looks phenomenal. Depending on the reviews for March of heroes, I might just pass on it and wait for Mc3 to come out.
March of Heroes was clearly Gameloft's answer to Black Ops. Unfortunately, they're a little late to that party. With Modern Warfare 3 coming out in three months and Modern Combat 3 its obvious equivalent, it wouldn't surprise me to learn that Gameloft has shelved March of Heroes for the time being. At the very least, delaying it until work on Fallen Nation is complete and the game is out the door (which I'm assuming will be sometime in October). Though to be perfectly honest, Fallen Nation looks to be the better game by far, so I can't say I'm upset by this possibility.
I agree. Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation looks way better than March of Heroes. But the video that Gameloft showed us on MoH was in June so it could look better.
If I was low on money I would do the same, but I have like $30 in itunes credit sitting around so I will probably get this if it comes out soon. Yeah, I agree that Gameloft may have put the brakes on MoH release to make way for Fallen nation. Fallen Nation looks freakin amazing compared to MoH, but if MoH comes out I'll still pick it up as something to keep me busy til MC3
gameloft should had focused on getting MoH released cause now with MC3 coming out soon they cant maximize profit and 2 blockbusters will be competing against each other from the same publisher...fail
Yeah i think they should have at least released MoH before releasing the MC3 trailer. Because now more people will be hyped for MC3 instead of MoH. Just my opinion though.
agreed i'm much less excited about MOH because of hearing about MC3 personally, i think MoH was mostly due to the publicity for the Unreal Engine either that or they planned MC3 with unreal, realized they didn't want to do it, but had already promised a game so they created MOH
I suspect March of Heroes is World War II related, or something to that effect, while MC3 is well, centered obviously around modern warfare. These are two very different sub-genres here. Personally, I prefer WWII games far more then I do modern warfare games. In fact, I don't really like modern warfares games that much at all. Often times, I simply tolerate them. I believe that it is somewhat of a publicity stunt to Gameloft to dabble in UE3 development. Clearly, they don't need the Unreal Engine. Their engines are far more optimized and likely more flexable and they are much more proficient at using them and I'm not sure that any UE3 game developed by Gameloft will come out looking better then games developed using their own internal engines. However, their first UE3 game will likely garner them a lot of attention. Which is why I believe they decided to do it.
