i don't think he meant stable as a platform i think he means it uses more memory and cpu so it causes more crashes at least that's what happens with infinity blade
Also, since this is Gameloft's first Unreal engine game I'm sure they are learning some things the hard way. They probably made a few bad decisions along the way which cost them quite a bit of time.
Yeah, this wasn't really a smart move from gameloft, if I werethem I would have focused on getting March of Heroes out the door before even announcing MC 3. Now they're going to have alot of people that are just going to pass on MoH and just wait for MC 3. Personally I'm going to buy both, because even though MoH is probably not going to be as great as MC 3, it's still an fps made by gameloft, and will probably be worth buying in any case. And besides, MoH will probably be released really soon whereas we've still got to wait a couple of months probably before MC 3.
Yes, that's bad marketing on Gameloft's part. Previewing Mc3 before releasing MOH. I'm really pumped about getting Mc3... Not looking forward to going through the ranks again.. I'm a 73 in Mc2, lol. I will probably get both MOH and Mc3. Hopefully they'll release MOH in the next couple of weeks.
I don't think they shelved it. My thoughts on MOH are: It was shown in an early alpha build. Gameloft got a lukewarm reception with their implementation of UE3. (some things were nice, like muzzle flash on the gun and nicer ground textures and lighting) I'm thinking they only had 2 levels rendered and they needed to create more and push the engine. The expectations are high and competition is shown that UE3 can render sweet experiences: Warm Gun and Afterlife (Trendy's 360 like game) Hence Gameloft, with the hype is probably working to push the art and engine harder to show their use is worth the hype.
I'm guessing its coming soon, most definitively not dropped IMO; it looked good at E3 and it was far along in its development process compared to other games. A game that far along should not be dropped. Hopefully they'll release that soon and that'll occupy me 'till MC3. I've heard really good things about MOH, BTW, such as a 6-8 hour story campaign (from a website that tested the game at E3; sounds like bulls***t to me, but you never know ) and multiplayer, and those graphics are killer. Maybe they're polishing it a bit more and getting ready for a release, possibly adding universal support and compressing files down. I've been waiting for this game for a long time now, and the more footage from E3 I see, the more I'm checking for this on the App Store. Their best strategy at this point could be if you buy the game, you get a free MC3 beta promo code or something. Unfortunently, they've left us in the dark about this for a while, but once again the engine is new for them and the same happened with StarFront: Collision HD. Otherwise they're release of the MC3 trailer before more info about this game seems pointless.
Yeah well said. I hope to see some news or surprise release just like we were surprised with MC3 trailer soon
plus, in the mass what should I get thread, triggy said he asked his gameloft source about MOH and they said it was a secret. That definitely means gameloft has got something planned for it
