hmmm... thx for the info IMNS never rly get to see u in the upcoming games section much btw how would mass effect and battlefield 3 be able to even work on idevices? they look like they are WAY too advanced for iOS atm...
haha ok im glad to hear tht ur "everywhere but nowhere"! ehhh... if EA doesnt use idevices capabilities to the fullest, then there isnt much to look for in those games i reckon...
I could see mass effect working something like galaxy on fire 2, flying around the galaxy talking to people.
Hopefully DICE learns from BFBC2 for the iOS. I can already tell that there's a better chance of the older generation to get left behind than not. Just hope the new generation comes out Q4 this year or early Q1 in 2012.
It depends. I'd rather that instead of them releasing a cut down summary version alongside the console and PC versions, that they release a dedicated made for mobile version filling in part of the story gap between ME2 and ME3. Mass Effect Galaxy had the right idea even if its execution was lacking. For example, we know that Earth is being attacked and waiting on Sheppard to come save the day. There is obviously a lot of room to tell a good relevant story about the struggles the Earth resistance is undergoing before Sheppard arrives.
I really do hope they abandon older gen devices. BFBC2 crashes more often than not anyway on my first gen, why even bother saying its compatible. Id rather they game have been better and me having to wait until I upgrade. If ios does get these ports, I hope EA continues the trend of improving in every aspect.
I hope we get to see this in action at E3. I've been waiting forever for a portable Mass Effect game that's better than ME Galaxy.
That isn't how Mass Effect really works... I mean, you do do that, but it's not atall like in Galaxy on Fire 2.
Yeah... flying around = not cool. Rather it should be a smaller representation of the full game, like a side story with the Viremire Survivor... you play them working up the ranks to become a spectre (They are a spectre in ME3 and in your party). You choose Ashley for the soldier class, and Kaiden for a biotic/engineer class... and then you can have some minor choices... would be fun if they did that And with Dead Space's tech, they could easily manipulate it a bit to accomodate for the shooting mechanics of Mass Effect.
Spoilers for people who haven't played Mass Effect 1.... Except that there's no way for both Ashley AND Kaiden to be alive after the events of Mass Effect 1.
I wouldn't. The first Mass Effect game on the app store kinda sucked. Granted, I hope they do go more the FPS route this time.
Mass Effect is one of my favorite series and I would love to see something similar to Dead Space for the iOS but I don't have my hopes up though.
I think Battlefield 3 is more likely, seeing as they've already done BFBC2 and also it's probably easier making a FPS than a deep RPG. If they are making it for iOS, then I just hope it's not as bad as BFBC2. If the team that worked on Dead Space makes it then it'll be great.
