Damn! This looks really impressive! One question though is this going to be like metroid as in large open world or like megaman as in large but single levels.also the visuals blow my metroidvania type game im developing out of the water lol.
@ Rozgo: When I read the thread title, I watched the very first video you put and I was like 'meh, not my cup of tea' and never visited the thread again. But today I saw the new screenshots in the front page and I must say I'll be a first day buyer of the game. It looks awesome and certainly has come a long way since the first video All that matters now is the controls.
Hmmm... Now that I think about it, why don't you just have a control scheme identical to the ones shown previously, except to fire whatever gun you have equipped you tap or tap and hold in the direction of where you want to fire. This eliminates the problem of not having a way to aim behind you while you are running and might add accuracy to the controls making them more responsive. This might also make the transition of this kind of game to the iPhone feel like less of a port and more like a twist. On the other hand, this could offer too much control making the game feel less for lack of a better word realistic. Being able to flail the arm wildly in a circle via this control scheme would just make the game feel silly. Just brainstorming... I know how much you like community feedback
do you need a tester? I would love to beta test this game and tell you my feedback..im a big fan of megaman games soi would love to try it!
first of, and I know I am the minority now, but I hightly dislike the new character model... it just looks to, eh, generic... I still think you guys need an option at the begging to let you choose which character to play as. the old one had a charm to him... this new "thing" looks way to JRPG... need I say more? anyways, I CAN live with it... so, the one other thing I want to say it, you should just put a secondary fire button, so that it will fire while strafing... or just a strafe switch... no matter how you do it, strafing is the only way to handle shooting in these types of games imo. Trey. EDIT: now that I think about it, I think just having a strafe switch would be the best option... idk, I would have to play with it to be sure.
well this looks great, and looks like it plays smooth, I own both an iPod Touch 2nd gen and the PsP 2000 series, what are the chances of this being a PSP Mini game? This looks like a day 1 purchase as well, Thumbs up to Touch arcade for piutting it on the front page!
can we get a little more info on the status of the game? I am really disappointed to see this thread vanish from the top of the fairly dead "upcoming" thread... It was so close, but now feels so far
I hope I'm understanding this correctly, and that the topmost pics are the newest, because the shorter, orange version looks a bit childish. I prefer the taller, more mature looking character in the top photos. I hope this is released somewhere in the first week of Feb, looks amazing.
I have a question, will there be unlockable guns, power-ups, abilities, etc. If so, this is a 100% insta-buy, no questions asked.
Video skillz Hello, I contacted rozgo about making the gameplay video, he replyed once, and then I havn't heard nything from him. I will most likely be making the video, stay tuned.
Hello everyone Alexander is currently travelling around for several meetings, Which has shifted our priorities slightly when it came to the gameplay video over to polishing the game further. The new screenshots spawned a lot of interest which we are currently exploring. As soon as we get back on track with the video we'll let everyone know. Gryphon23: The game will feature abilities and weapon types that will be obtained through the progression of the game. Thanks once again for all the feedback everyone!
Let me guess -- you got the call from the folks at Chillingo. I swear those guys have someone on this forum 24/7....
I wanna know more about the character design... as I have stated before, not a big fan of the current one... Trey.
