Screw Vick. Who knows how many dogs he tortured and killed -- he was being a world-class douche during his plea-bargained allocution and refused give straight answers about how many dogs were killed, how they were killed, etc. Which tells me that if he was straight with the judge, it would have looked bad enough for him to score him the 5-year max.

Vick can eat a bag of dicks. I'd rather see him spend the rest of his life reminding his teammates to ask the people if they fries with that.

**** the eagles. Never have I wanted a team to go down like this. I hope someone takes his knees out, and puts an end to his career once and for all.

  4. A nice, low tackle and strategic pileup could take care of that. I'm sure some enterprising team can diagram that into their playbook. Frankly though I'm surprised that a high profile team like the Eagles would even want him. A couple of years in PMITA prison can change a man's gait...

They know that it will sell tickets. Bad publicity is still publicity, and they want all eyes on the eagles. I really do hope some 300 lbs, dog loving linebacker, seeks justice on his knee caps. Just plant that helmet right on his thin little legs, and then lets see him sneak to the end zone!:)

You guys are so judgmental. If you were Vick you'd be crying for a second chance. You've screwed up before too, let the man play. He didn't even torture dogs or dog fight at all, he hosted the dog fights so his cousins could make money.

Get your facts straight and have a heart.

Why should he get a second chance at a multi-million dollar job, as a role model, and athelete? I'll give him a second chance at McDonalds. But frankly it's his arrogance that really sets me off. He thought he was above the law. And I don't care if he personally didn't fight any dogs, Charley manson never killed anyone either.

    at my computer?
He did his time already. He deserves a second chance. People get away with a lot worse crimes for less punishment. Look at Donte Stallworth, he killed a guy while driving drunk. He got 30 days in jail. WOW are you kidding me. I guess dogs are more important that peoples lives.

Give this guy a chance. He has done and said everything right since this happend. Maybe he has "turned a new leaf". He did the time, so in my book I kind of admire him on how he is handling all of this. Let him have a second chance.

Everyone who is saying he doesn't deserve another chance... like CDubby94 said, haven't you ever made a mistake??????

Not one that killed any dogs or people. I don't call that a mistake. I call that a life altering **** up.

  10. I'd watch the game just for that. And I'd record it so I could play it back again and again. Maybe put it on my iPhone for when I need a little pick-me-up.

He was a fully complicit, willing partner in the enterprise. He allowed everything to happen. I've screwed up before, but never that badly, and never with an explicitly illegal enterprise that I organized. His only remorse is that he got caught. The violin I have playing for him was constructed using nanotechnology, and it plays a tune only dogs can hear.

Screw Vick. He doesnt need a second chance he should of known it was illegal or wrong. He's a freaken role model for people which if you are a role model for someone you shouldn't do bad things (in this case killing/fighting dogs).

He's done his time for what he did, so he should be able to back to a normal life. He paid for his crimes, so he should be able to get his job back. Throughout the whole process, he's been nothing but apologetic.

It's not like Vick was just a Paris Hilton 45 minutes in jail fling. He spent time in jail, on house arrest and did community service. He spent two years away from his job, and went bankrupt. He's suffered enough for his actions, nobody forced the Eagles to sign him. I say let the man rebuild his life, you'd be begging for mercy if you were him.

But I'm not him. I've never ****ed up that bad. And if I did, I WOULD lose my job, and wouldn't get it back. You make it sound like he jaywalked, or parked in a handicapped spot. The man ran a fricking dog fighting ENTERPRISE. He had Acres of land for his "kennel". The man deserves to made an example of.

When you commit a crime, you're convicted and sentenced. Michael Vick went through the judicial process and took the punishment for his actions. Once you've done your sentence, you can go back to living your life, getting a job, etc. He didn't get the life sentence, he didn't get anything unusual, he got the sentence appropriate for his crime, and he accepted it. Now that he's done, he can do what he wants again, he's no longer a convict.

Again, nobody forced the Eagles to sign him. If you were offered your job back after you got out of jail, wouldn't you take it? It's like you're mad at him that the Eagles signed him, even though he had no control over it and simply did the same thing you would have done: accepted a job that he was offered.

  15. Exactly. It isn't like he just got caught up in some bad business. He's the one that set it all up! He knew it was illegal from step one, he knew what was going on throughout, and he encouraged it and grew the enterprise from it. Had he not been caught it would still be going on. So don't tell me he's been nothing but apologetic; he's just covering his ass and trying to make everything go as easy on himself as possible, and so far he has succeeded, considering he got off light by lying his ass off and he got his lucrative job back.

It could -- and should -- have been much worse for him.

Actually he IS still a convict. He is a CONVICTED FELON. That won't change. If I was convicted of a felony I would have to place this on ANY job application that I filled out. Whether the company hires me or not is up to them, but I'd still be a convict.

I say Mindfield and Le'deuche are 100% right on... Michael Vick is a scumbag who had full knowledge of what was going on, no way you can make an excuse for what he did... ... And as for the Paris Hilton drunk driving thing, most people caught drinking and driving are out within 24 hours anyways who cares, this guy killed freaking 100's of dogs, in the most horrific of scenarios (drowning, electrocution, hanging, starving and beating), while he may not have done it with his own hands, he did it with his money, his friends/family, on his property with his FULL knowledge... I guaranteee you this guy knew full and well what was going on and didn't think twice about it, in fact I'm sure he just called some of his homies over so they could bet on the next fight....

yea this is somone I want my future child to "look up" too.... Right.....

He's an ex-convict he's no longer in jail. And really, he has been nothing but apologetic. I think he was sorry he got caught at first, but now that he's out of jail I think he's genuinely sorry. All I'm really saying is give people a second chance, no matter how bad they screw up.

In the end, it doesn't really matter anyway. He's got his job back, he's going to play football again, and he'll start living a regular life again. Whether you like it or not, and no matter how much you argue about it, that's the way it is.

Are u kidding? Michael Vick may have screwed up but the NFL would be crazy not to take him back. Hes already got offers for teams to be their QB so it doesnt matter now.
