Absolutely fascinating. The only reason my masters is in English and the degree in Psychology is because after the degree (when I already decided to go the masters route) I realised I simply couldn't spend another 7 years to get the most out of the psychology. And later decided to get a marketing diploma. I was a tad confused about my career path at the time. Ironically, they all kinda tied in quite well in the end. Of course, again ironically, I've probably spent as much time in college at night after work acquiring more computer related qualifications since I left it the first time. Psychology is definitely the most interesting one so far though.
Heh. That would explain why I always got owned by you whenever I played truthfully I'm good if my connections good, and it's a real relief to get to play against somebody great. Jet packs are overused... Noob grenade all the way!
Not at all! We don't know each other, other than on the forums. Without being certain I was joking, it was a completely legit reaction to this I was being serious. Actually, that type of passion for games and your drive is probably why you've made it on the leader boards. Takes a dedicated fan, and there's nothing more humbling and motivating for a Dev to see that your fans are really into what you're doing. So, I think I speak on behalf of the MC4 Dev team when I say: PLEASE DO NOT STOP. It keeps us going.
Still, I feel embarrassed that I was bragging about how I knew it and such, and then it turns out I was wrong the entire time. Kinda makes me look like a know-it-all, which isn't the look I was going for exactly...
English, Psychology, Computers and Marketing? Seems like the perfect cocktail of degrees for Community Management!
Well, the English explains the elaborateness I suppose. The slight obsessive compulsive disorder explains the rest. The tendency to over explain, I'm putting down to genetics.
Well, that's a very high compliment. Thanks for that. (The marketing and computers were only diplomas though)
Don't worry about it at all dude. Forums are for discussion and we've all been wrong many times. Jeez, I was badly wrong on the very first page of this thread alone. So, don't worry, you don't come off badly, you just come off that you stand by what you believe, which is a good thing. Edit. Wait, no, the thread that posted the screen shots from Tokyo was where I was wrong. So, even wrong there again. Oh well.
Well, you're very welcome! I gotta question, though. How long have you all been playing MC? Since the first? Which one was your favorite, and why?
Well then it's a shame more people don't have OCD cuz your elaborate "over-explained" (more like fully-explained) posts are some of my favorite. Reminds me of my grandad (and VOLCANS) which is a compliment I assure you. Anyway it's midnight here and I gotta get up at 4:30 so I'm out.
I guess thats what happens when pretty much everything you do on the internet is related to a single game. I kinda needed a topic for a video today anyways lmao
Marketing and psychology, eh? Interesting combination. Goes well together come to think of it. Along with English and computer (science?) that's quite an academic career. Also goes a long way explaining why your posts are always logical and helpful.
I was being sincere when I said you're a pretty helpful guy. Seen you on the forums helping others too
