True. iOS gaming has always been miles ahead of android and that gap is only going to increase. Even when you look at MC4 on iOS and Android, the android version looks like a cheap port. (However this is probably not the case with MC5 since Gameloft plan to release for both platforms at the same time).

My provider is actually relatively cheap compared to other ones in germany. (It is the worst network though, not that that means as much here. Also you can admittedly get a lot more for your money if you buy a larger Data flat (9,90€ for 1 GB, 14,90€ for 3GB and 19,90€ for 5GB), but I don't have the money to spend that monthly and buy the games I want.)

To get back on topic: Are we going to see the multiplayer any time soon (Within the next couple of weeks), Ryan?

Lol wut? I feel like this is some meta-troll thing that is flying over my head. Just trying to comment and add clarification when I see people saying silly things.

I can't say a specific time just yet. Definitely know that stuff is in the works on how we can reveal it though.

I was wondering why he was going on about... Maybe it's...

Trollception *bwwaaaaaaaaaammmmmm* (that's the inception noise btw)

Honestly can't wait for this game to drop though... I am hoping for a 'surprise' release. I.e. One with not much warning so it's like, Wow it's out on Wednesday type thing

With that new metal API... The gap will get even wider.

    Yeah. Come on, guys.

You're welcome to have opinions - negative, positive, sideways, whatever - but if you cannot express them in a respectful way to other members they don't belong on a public forum. Consider this your warning.

Otherwise, please try to keep his thread on topic. General Gameloft discussion can go into the thread oscar linked above (though it still shouldn't be rude).

Gameloft already said you need to be online to play the game. Even during one of their streams their wifi connection went low and it said 'reconnecting' so they just had to wait.

The game is probably ready for release. The only reason it's not out yet is because Gameloft was to get the hype up more and more people aware of the game.

Is Gameloft waiting to release this game along iphone 6 ? If thats the case , well they better know that me and my friends are definitely not gonna buy this game after we get our iphone 6 . (PS: we are not their fans anyway ) We rather spend our money on games made by smart developers such as Foursaken Media and Implosion .

Any game that has been launched with an iPhone has also been revealed at the same time as a new iPhone.
They have revealed it so that is ruled out.

It should be very clear that any gameplay we have seen has been of a beta pre release build. It has been stated many times.
And it should be clear from the footage in even one simple element (out of many).
    Real time shadows.
They will be in the final build of the game but have not been present in any of the footage yet. When you start seeing footage with real time shadows, they are there or thereabouts in the development process and release is close.

Which would be better to release, a fully developed gold master release build that has been fully tested and developed or a beta build with bugs and finish the development after release?
Personally I'd prefer a fully finished game myself than a buggy one so I'm content to wait until the online servers are up and the game is fully polished.

Anyway, the iPhone 6 is probably announcing around the 15th of September for a 25th release so they would be cutting it very fine with their release window and in fact missing it on the 25th despite having 100% committed to the summer release window. So that rules that out as well.

To add to Rips point, the games revealed alongside new iPhones have normally been to showcase the power of it - think IB reveals (I remember IB2 with the 4S I think) GL have been working on MC5 for a long time, longer than they would have had access to the new iPhone for.

IB was in the works long ago before a new iPhone was revealed. They usually just activate some extra effects which are restricted to the new chipset to show on stage.

Probably. But it's a failing strategy for people like me who care less and less about Modern Combat 5 everyday because of the continuous delays.

Wow... I can't believe people get so wound up about delays to games...

Like rip said above, would you rather have; a buggy incomplete game that gets you annoyed because you can't do feature x, or a finished game but you have to wait a few more weeks? I know which I would rather have.

The delay is not a problem, but they should give us a more clear release date since 'summer' is here now and there is still very little news
