PITA. It actually 1-2hit kills me with that attack. 3x 30ish minute attempts. Finally got him on the 4th try which lasted nearly an hour. So the quests with the elder beside the bon fire are only low rank quests? There are more higher ranked quests after those given by her? Niiiice!
Hahahaha! Good job taking him down! What weapon type were you using? Cheapest way to take him down is to use either Bowguns, Bows, Lances or Gunlances. You can shoot him just from outside in either a little to the left or right of his head, or you can turtle him out with Lance or Gunlance from underneath him, guarding from the hipcheck. The old lady in the bonfire are low rank elder quests. The cat next to her are high rank elder quests. Then inside the guild hall, there are 3 ladies in the counters for Low Rank, High Rank and the G-Rank quests. G-Rank is where the real fun begins since you should at least learn of the monsters from the previous 2 ranks. Wait who am i kidding??? The game is fun right from the start!!!
I'm dreading thinking about G-rank quests... after getting destroyed on my first 2 star...O_O sometimes I think I was not meant for hunting and those guys should have left me for dead in the snow haha In other news, I finally defeated that stupid Khezu and wow, Vovin's item calculations were spot on. I used nearly exactly the amount of ammo that he told me to bring and only had 10 or so shots left. Crazy. Anyhow, at first it felt cheap but then I realized I'm not Predator and I don't care about honorable hunting. These enemies are not honorable to me when they keep hitting me as I get up.. and grateful punks! Even scarier was that the wyvern was able to jump onto my platform once and it made me jump. Good thing it only happened once.. I do dread fighting him again because I haven't found a way to dodge his electric shield move. If I'm in mid-combo or mid-swing with the LS and he turns it on, there's no way I can dodge it. I saw online people recommended a shielded weapon because of that. Though I don't have enough items to make a totally new shielded weapon that is the equivalent power of mine.
I have one problem with this game.... How the fck do you auto aim. Ive been trying everything. Tapping on the monsters icon and everything. I have a controller but i would like to use auto aim with it. .... Wow. I just pressed the analogs... Nvm.
There's no auto-aim, just auto "camera-follow." If you already have it active in the settings, you have to tap the monster icon on the left side of the screen (only possible if the monster has noticed you, or if you have fought it in a different area of that same mission already). Then, use the run button and swipe right to toggle follow-cam mode.
Yeah i figured it out like literally 1 minute after posting haha. With controllers you press the direction pad. i just decided to smash every button then it worked haha. Never touched those before this.
Who the heck said that hunting is an honorable sport? Who the heck said that hunting is some knight discipline? The only thing that counts is your victory. How you achieve it is completely irrelevant. We're not on a medieval tournament here. It's just you and the beast. A beast that would love to tear your guts out of your body and eat them. To win, it uses all bloody cunning tricks it knows. Those beast would drop a big pile of monster poop on your ethics, if they could. It's fair that you use every trick that's up YOUR sleave. You have defeat those ugly fellows. And it doesn't matter how. Actually, the game rewards those who pull some tricks successfully. Hmm... that jump onto the platform is not normal. Were you standing a bit too far in the cave? Then it might have tried to get to the cave's ceiling, to hang down from there and attack you from above (another mean trick...). Oh, forgot. Khwzu has an electric jump attack, but only when in rage.
Bow user, exclusively, in almost any game actually lol. I used the Kut-ku stave I, the one with fire damage since I didn't have the stuff to make the sonic bow yet. So the elder's quests are just the tip of the iceberg then? I like! I'm only less than 22hours in as of the moment.
You can easily sink 500 hours into that. Unbelievable value for money. There are people who played this around 1.000 - 1.200 hours.
i'm ashamed to say it, but my instinctual reaction to that was to select the "praise" gesture and applaud you .. i've already gotten caught in this game's trap (ha) once again
congratulations on being tough enough not to cave in and buy it immediately! that's more than i can say for myself
I really would but for two reasons: A) I am cheap and I dont wanna buy it twice and I know I would buy it again if/when it was available in English and B) Im getting old. Im not as smart as I once was. I dont quite need hand holding, but I do need to know wtf people are saying to me that Im agreeing with lol
haha very true. these monsters would probably eat my corpse if it wasn't for those miraculous cats that show up when I'm out of HP. I may have been hiding out at the wrong spot! I actually wasn't too sure about your directions on which part of the cave so I looked online to where other people hid out and someone said on top of the egg area. Since that's where the Khezu lives I assumed you meant there When he left, he always comes back to that spot after 5 minutes or so. Now I'm trying to make the hornet armor which looks really cool. It needs bug parts so I had to make a bunch of poison bombs. I'm assuming I need a head piece from a bug to make the helmet but I heard those are super rare drops. I did a mission that had me kill 50 flying bugs and I almost ran out of time because I spent so much time hunting. I was afraid I'd lose all my work! Does anyone have any tips for making cheap poison weapons? I couldn't find any to craft. For now I'm using poison smoke bombs on the insects but I run out really fast. I think I'd need way more if I want their rare drops. Without me resetting after deaths, I'd say I'm at 26 hours ish? My profile doesn't reflect that however.
C'mon, if it's a reputable source then at least we would be certain the it WILL be released in english.
