This seems strange. Isn't that about the same time they are releasing Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate on 3DS? It seems like that would be bad timing, unless they see them as different markets. This would be really bad timing for me, because I'm gonna be all over MH4U!!!!!

Well... If you take a closer look at this rumor: Capcom never announced a smartphone game so far away. I also doubt that the translations would take another 8 months.
Yeah... Also MH Freedom Unite already exists, which is the intl release of MHP2G, so it's not like they have to make the translations from scratch. And since MHVuze easily patched the JP version, im sure Capcom's just waiting for the right moment to release the game, maybe market it a bit and build up some hype before releasing.
Or they do a ninja release like in Japan... Why do they need to build up hype for MHFU? I believe some games don't need this at all. This will climb the Appstore #1 spot in maximum 2 days and sell a ton of copies. But maybe you are right, we'll see. Anyway, can't wait for it. I still trust the official paper from the Capcom JP site, the release of MHFU in May 2014.
Well most of capcom's apps in NA appstore have the same release dates as in JPN appstore, with the exception of ghost trick and AA triology. Ghost trick was released on ios 13 months after the DS version (english), which makes sense IMO. I'm not sure about AA triology, it was released on february 2012 in JPN appstore, and the eng ver was due to released in fall 2012, but for some reasons it was delayed till may 2013. Anyways, AA triology isn't as well received as ghost trick in JPN appstore, so who knows I'm still clinging onto hope that MHFU for ios will be released in May 2014 as they said in the financial report
Yeah I'd be disappointed if this takes that long to release. I had to ultimately forget about Ace Attorney in order to not go crazy waiting for it.

Yeah but it doesnt patch NPC speech etc. Items is good and all, but I want full English. I'm not very smart when it comes to other languages.

I'm kind of the same as you. Even though I have the patch, the japanese still bothers me since I can't understand it. I really wish I knew what was going on. The dialogue is part of the immersion experience for me even though it technically may not be necessary. Even some parts make no sense to me and I have no idea how to "search" for it online. On another note I keep saying I'll learn Japanese but I keep putting it off. Going to Japan and working there is probably on the top of my wishlist
That's exactly how I feel. I want the release from Capcom in complete English, not something half-assed.
