Does Sway count as a platformer? Just curious what people consider it to be. Another category I feel underserved is classic adventure games á la Monkey Island. There are some games out, none very good though.
Sway counts as the best platformer! Love your game, beat it in days because it was so fun. But i guess we're talking about side-scroller platformers
with livefire coming soon, its hard for a developer to sell their fps unless its much better than the upcoming livefire. Most underdeserved genre is by far RTS, quantum collapse and warfare inc are great but they just dont stack up to any other rts. also the app store is missing squad based 3rd person tactical shooters like graw or socom style.
I suppose this is really a sub genre of racing, but the app store needs more motorbike games/sims for motorcycle maniacs such as myself. We do have Motochaser, but it is more of an arcade game. What we really need is a motorcycle racing sim like MotoGP, SBK etc. There are too many car racing games.
I'd say something along the lines of a trading card/strategy game. I know I've seen a few posts on here asking what games are out there in the vein of Pokemon/Magic/Yu-gi-oh, and really, there's only one (maybe two) that people can even mention, and even those aren't that great. The top of the list is Orions: Legend of Wizards, which is a decent game, albeit a bit overpriced and very under-supported. It's a port of a PPC game, but hasn't seen an update in ages, despite the fact that there are at least two expansions waiting in the wings. I'd love to see a full-fledged strategy based card game on the iPhone - something where you have access to a pool of cards of varying flavors, and have to build yourself a deck. As you win, you get access to more cards, and can continue to expand/upgrade your deck. I'd rather not see it as a CCG, where you have to buy card "packs", but I wouldn't be surprised if that's the way it ended up going with 3.0 DLC available now. Anyway, that's my $.02.
They've ported Desktop Tower Defense for the DS. Just saying ... I also think the App Store is in need of more quality 2D platformers.
Fighting, imagine a game like Mortal Kombat 2 where instead of pressing down down up up, whatever, you do finger gestures. That would be awesome, and very doable I believe.
Rts & strategy games that are Not tower defense. Something like power politics or a business game w stocks and such like zapitalism. Also a magic the gathering card player would be awesome. No one will learn a brand new ccg just for the iPhone. But the existing mtg game made by wizards would ne awesome. Like duel of the planeswalkers on the xbox 360. Email them please.
RTS games for sure, there's nothing i would want more on my iphone atm than to have a well made strategy game with multiplayer over bluetooth!

Like a port of the duel of the planeswalkers game they made for the xbox 360 but with the ability to edit your decklists. Everyone saying RTS plz buy Quantum Collapse. It's a fantastic game and with the new update is even better and there's another fantastic update plannned right after that! It's easily worth $10 much less the $4 being asked.
OK im sorry for posting it again but i really want support for this. CIVILIZATION. its a game that would work lovely on a touchscreen (even better than revolution) and its a such a great game type.
nice find with quantum collapse, the game looks good, looks like i'll buy it even though rolando 2 is around the corner, lol. any news on the game ever having bluetooth multiplayer?
