Hey Guys, It's with great pride and joy we'd love to show you our development process of Munch Time 2. In 2012 we released Munch Time, a 3-star puzzler, which got a prominent Game of the Week feature on iOS worldwide. In the meantime we've been secretly working on a sequel, but have decided to take the game and go all-out with it. Munch Time 2 is the multi-platform sequel to Gamistry's 2012 iOS/Android game Munch Time, expanding the game's previous universe into the metroidvania genre on mobile, pc & console. Premise and Gameplay: The lovably silly and acrobatically gifted chameleon Munch is back, this time finding himself stranded on a island with other funny little critters, and a couple of ominous monsters. Explore this mysterious world and make the most of his abilities: latching onto various flowers to navigate the 2D platforming environments and changing color to solve puzzles using these flowers. He also gains a wide range of new skills to help his new-found friends, a funny tribe of living plants called Leaflets. Fight their enemies, by lunging towards them with your tongue, dashing over land or through the air, and bodyslam yourself into the fray. Features: Dynamic Combat with multiple skills, enemies and boss-fights. Open World Exploration. Leveling system with upgradeable skills. Diverse Platformer combined with the Metroidvania genre. Intriguing Puzzles integrated in a vast world. Solid Platformer controls tweaked to perfection for mobile and console compatibility ----- We plan a release early 2015, so we're still in heavy development and will plan beta tests and hope to get some great feedback from you guys. We wish to create the console platform experience on your mobile device. This is a heck of a challenge, but we are confident we can tackle the platform controller issue and deliver an awesome experience. We'd love to hear your feedback and opinions and will provide as much feedback and answers as we can.
Awesome though re is combat now? I bought the first one and the hd iPad verison. Can't wait to test for you guys!
Yeah you'll find out we're spicing up a lot of features from the original. Combat is one thing we've added. Munch will be able to do body-slams, dashes and zip from one enemy to another. We're adding enemies that can fly, armored enemies and more to create a vast amount of different situations, which we can use as obstacles, but also use in puzzles
Update 2016 Hey Everyone!! Figured it was way due time for an update. We took some screenshots of our game, which is now hitting the finishing stages. These screenshots are of the "console version" of Munch Time 2, which will see an Xbox 1 and PS4 release next to iOS. Other than the blur the quality for mobile is the same. Hope you guys like our progress so far!

Looking really good, played the first game with munch pleasure, but this looks much better in every way, so can't wait for this to hit.

Thanks guys! We know we've been awfully quit this past year. But happy to say we've been very busy. Things took a more complex turn since we're also releasing on console. We're making sure the game is chuckfull of awesome stuff. We have some really cool new features: - exciting storyline - bossfights - ingame cutscenes and events - a gigantic world chuckfull of puzzles! We havnt counted them yet, but there's about 1000 collectible sun-bits (puzzle pieces) scattered throughout the world. Needless to say, we've been (and still are) busy, but we're nearing the end, and will openup beta applications soon. More on that later. In the meantime, we'll show some more stuff more regularly from now on. And we're happy to answer any questions.
Hi Guys, Here's an update with some gameplay footage. Just letting everyone know we're still busy working on this game. We've got about 80 of these levels. We're nearing completion, but we still have lots to do. - We need to run the game for bugs and are patching levels as we speak. - We are wrapping up sound and music. - We are polishing up some art-stuff. - We need to add more languages (currently Dutch and English) - Test the game on all devices and polish up the controls for mobile. Once we are done however, we will announce a release date!
Yes it is You'll be battling bosses and collecting Sun Bits (the bigger puzzle pieces) to slowly upgrade your arsenal of skills. The newfound skills (for instance wallclimbing) will grant you access to new areas, even some areas you walked past before, but couldn't reach yet.
