your like the only person besides me that knows what DVDA is, i was afraid if i put that on here some loser would be "whats that" so i didnt
hahaha yeah dude, I kind of know a lot of music. Kind of take pride in it ^.^... DVDA is pretty funny yet at the same time have musical talent beyond belief. I enjoy all the sh!t they do. I bet with their success of Southpark and all their movies, having a band would be so much fun to mess around with (even though the band came first). I bet those dudes are a blast to hang out with. I loved The Unraveling and Revolutions Per Minute, but after that... I don't know what happened to them... they kind of got...soft? I don't know how to explain it. Not soft just... not as raw punk sounding. I still jam their first 2 albums often though. Hard to beat.
Breaking Benjamin for the win as well. Gotta love them. As for Muse, Weezer, and 30 Seconds to Mars, I havn't heard much, so I couldn't say. But Breaking Benjamin is indeed great. Favorite song of theirs? Btw, any good bands that aren't overly popular or mainstream? I'm always looking for something new to listen to, so if there's something that you never hear on the radio, or is just never publicized all that often, post it here.
In what genre of music? That's all I tend to listen to hahaha not to say i don't like a few mainstream bands here and there...
A great unknown band is Enter Shikari. They're a screamo/alternative, but it's not an annoying kind of screamo. It's the kind that makes you want to jump up and scream along. At least in my opinion
Minus the Bear is a really trippy indie band. I've honestly heard nothing like them, but I guess you could describe them as a psychedelic Modest Mouse. Try listening to Houston We Have an Uh-Oh. Really catchy riff, ringtone worthy even. But that's about the only obscure band I know. I dunno, they have gotten soft, but it's not that much better than the alternative, though, at least in my opinion. Every single song I've heard by them pre-Savior (naturally, a radio friendly song) has to do with someone being pissed off about the the children of tomorrow that've been left behind or something following those lines. They're pretty much in the same category as Three Days Grace to me now.
Anyone here like Brand New? I love their stuff. My favorite bands right now are We Came As Romans and For Today. Back in may I went to the Welcome to the Circus Tour with Asking Alexandria headlining. Siiiick show! I am hoping to go see The Devil Wears Prada and Miss May I in August.
Yes! Radiohead! Thank god, it seems like everything that everyone's listening to on these forums is screamo and death metal, or some weird combination of both. So far, I only have their OK Computer album, one of the few albums I bought legitimately. This is one of the fews bands where you can't sacrifice audio quality for a free song (but if I had the cash, I'd buy every song off iTunes). Billy Talent, anyone? Maybe some Arcade Fire? The Decemberists? Stuff that doesn't have "demon" "red" or "glornak the destroyer of worlds perched upon a dark mountain as lightning strikes the non-believers, since glornak is one of the old pagan gods that demands sacrifice, while the veins of the mortal are filled with the ash of damned virgin princesses"?

Am I the only person who doesn't care for popular music? I don't dislike it or hate I just don't care. I am a professional musician and I like classical, of course, and Folkloric music form many different countries and peoples, specially Aymara.
The only Billy Talent song I've heard is "Red Flag", but it's a great song. I do like a lot of stuff that's not metal, although metal is my favorite music.
