Tried it and...ugh. It's clearly a full casual mobile racing game with the usual IAP mechanics like premium currency and energy implemented. It even has RNG mechanics. Like what the hell? Now you cant just buy a car with money but you'll have to collect the blue prints to unlock them. Same goes for things like engines, brakes, etc. which are divided into different tiers (common, rare, epic, legendary). And all this is based on RNG like in mmorpgs or trading card games where you open booster packs. Visuals can be bought with the in game currency as far as I've seen. Race times are around ~30 seconds each which is...well, it's just bad. Cant think of what this game tries to be. A Racing/TGC/Pokecar hybrid I guess. It'll definitely be fun for the majority of mobile gamers cuz most of them are casuals and that's probably the reason why I already see many 5 star ratings incoming. RNG will make most of them addicted like hell to it so there goes that. Probably a good business move despite to what mobile gaming has become. Edit: low-res on my iPhone 5 like one 3GS
I've played it and my only gripe is the energy system. The graphics are okay considering how the weather effects, customization, and backgrounds look! They put immense detail in the city. (Even though it's the same one over and over) A lot don't realize that the game is only in soft-launch, and Most Wanted was 1.5 gb! Maybe Firemonkeys will pull through in the end, but I really doubt it.
Most Wanted was bigger because it uses higher resolution textures and has different tracks set over three times of day (day, night, and sunset). People are expecting miracles with it being a soft launch. I just cannot see that it's going to change that much between now and when it launches worldwide. I've never seen soft launch games change immensely by the time they've gone worldwide. However there is a first time for everything, so we shall see.
Tell me about it. Only positive thing I could think of right now: If you enjoy Kill Shot, CSR racing, Sniper assassin, or deer hunter, you'll love this game. Christ man, I was looking forward to this game. I knew for a fact it was going to be F2P, but jesus. Another exclusive for the extreme casuals! Hopefully only part of FM is working on this, wouldn't want them to abandon RR3. I bet FM themselves didnt even enjoy creating this game. Probably just EA, once again, forcing them to create a game that'll compete for the bucks. Im really disappointed. Was looking forward to a new NFS mobile game. I was even a little excited that it was going to be F2P which wouldve practically created endless content, similar to Asphalt 8 or RR3. Im really bummed out.
Lol this game takes an Asphalt 8 freemuim difficulty curve. One minute you're okay and then the next you're a mile behind the other cars.
Realised that, too. Grindfest at it's finest and nearly unplayable if you go for the non-IAP route and care about progress. I cant imagine it will get any much better until you throw a lot of money at it. Another thing I realised is, even if you decide to put at least some money into it, it really wont help at all due to cars being broken up into blue prints and you wont pull a complete car out of one, two or even three booster packs. Dunno if you can get cars from winning races, but yeah... Aaaaand every car has a limit of what parts you can attach to it so if you're lucky enough to pull some high grade parts you probably cant use it due to a cars limit. This means you will need high grade cars with higher limits which also means you will need the blue prints. See above.
If you that desperate, go back a couple of pages and someone has given the details for a Taiwanese account, download away... Although doesn't seem like much point
Maybe dead to you personally, but definitely not dead to the market. If games weren't bringing in money under this model, they wouldn't still be using it.
at least we still have foursaken media , who cares about EA nowadays , they cant even make a better Fifa game
