As a person new to NH and NHP, what would someone recommend I start with and why? I saw the tutorial on the site and I am quite fond of the strategy involved(as well as the diversity) and may end up getting one of the games. It looks very well executed overall.

Well you should definitely try out the Lite version of Neuroshima Hex, since it's free and it's the only one currently available. If you like strategy combat and board games you will probably love it. Just be careful to read the instructions, as it is a deep game and knowing the basics is vital.

Can't wait to try out this new puzzle game! The AI on NH got old eventually (after days and days of obsessive playing) and started feeling like a one-move-at-a-time puzzle game, so actually setting up particular scenarios is a great way to make a much shorter version of the game that still has all the depth of a full session.

Only thing that bothers me is that you are making ot two different apps. Why not have it as an IAP in the core NH game file? Clearly they are using the same engine and design principles, why make us have two icons/files on our devices instead of one? Or even just make this a part of NH to increase its desirability.

FWIW I am totally willing to pay you 2.99 for the puzzle content, I'll also pay anything for multiplayer NH, so if you add it as IAP you could charge me another 2.99 and i'll happily play! VOICE CHAT TOO PLZ ;)

Thanks for the reply. I'd rather get the full game than the lite, so I'll most likely pick it up later. I saw a bunch of video/reviews as well as read through the TA thread and it all sounds like something I'll like. I agree with you 100% on the separate app. I'd prefer it be iap so I can save space as well as an additional icon because I don't plan on getting both but if the puzzle does eventually become iap I'll be sure to pick it up. I did read that more factions will be added to the original as iap so that also makes me more secure to commit to getting that version(would rather have more diverse content overall).

One question...in all the videos I watched, I didn't notice any of the pieces move; just placed. Are you able to move pieces like chess, checkers, etc? That would be the last thing I need to know. Everything else sounds good.

    Thanks.

Most pieces do not, in fact, move.

However, there are some movement tiles that you can draw (although most factions don't have too many) and some units do have a movement ability. It's denoted by an arrow in a circle.

Thanks. So basically the pieces(for the most part) that can move would be the soldier pieces, and there was one I saw in the tutorial that had the ability to push the opposing players piece? Other than that...others just serve there purpose for strategy(nothing wrong with that in the least bit) Sorry for the questions, but I've seen the tutorial on the official page several times and am just trying to get a better feel for it...

You have the gist of it.

In most cases, you'll be placing a piece in one spot and with a certain facing, and that's where it will stay. Well, until it gets blown away — NH is a deadly game. The survival rate is exceptionally low.

So to look at it from both sides, you might think that's either good or bad:

Good: Since placement and facing are so important, NH really rewards thinking clearly and planning ahead.

Bad: For some players, not being able to zip around the map won't be what they're looking for.

And, again, there is some movement, which comes in the form of movement tiles, movement abilities, and push-back tiles. Also, one of the factions (the green) actually moves around quite a bit. That's their specialty ... and they can be pretty fun to play.
