I love the new 'purchased' option in the appstore. If i'm not mistaken, it contains all the apps i've previously purchased. Even the ones that have since been removed from the store. I redownloaded my copy of NBA Live (which i'd lost) and a few others. They've finally fixed my biggest gripe. Now maybe they can concentrate on making the PC itunes half decent. Another thing i've been enjoying is playing my iPhone games with the black on white option turned on in accessability. Under General in the phone settings. Makes all the games trippy negative colours. !!!
Since I updated to the newest version (4.3.3), I'm able to see the purchased games on my device under the update section. Real nice to have the option to see all my games either on my device or a list of what isn't.
That's on iTunes. On the actual device, go to updates, then click the bar labeled 'Purchased' at the top. Make sure your itunes is on when you do it, and you can install the apps over your home wifi instead of syncing.
I thought everyone knew about this feature already, it was added shortly after the iCloud announcement. You can redownload any app you've purchased, even if it's been removed from the store. You can also redownload any song you've purchased from iTunes for free now as many times as you'd like. It's a huge improvement for anyone that's lost iTunes data in the past or simply doesn't have the storage space to back up hundreds of apps on their computer.
The worst thing about the Purchased option on iPhone/iPod is there's no way to change the sorting order, therefore no way to search by name, only date. I'm not sure if this is the same on iTunes.
You can do all of those on iTunes.. I just wish you could seperate the paid and free downloads. One improvement is that you can redownload apps that were previously pulled from the store by clicking the cloud icon next to the game on the list. Did it about a week ago with Dungeon Fighter Slayer Edition which was pulled nearly two months ago. Also, I'd love to be able to delete stuff from the list.
You could redownload apps for free but not music. You also could not redownload apps removed from the store that you've purchased before. Both of those things are new features.
