New Muse Album and iPod Touch 3G question?

The new Muse album is amazing (but not their best IMHO)

not sure about the iTouch pricing...

 

iPod Touch 32GB will be $299.

 

That sounds reasonable but it says it starts at $199. And the only two capacities are 32gb and 64gb o__o

 

The 8gb model will be $199 if I remember correctly

32gb will be $299 and the 64gb model will be $399

 

I think the $199 is the 8GB one.

 

That's right but only the 32GB and 64GB is going to run OpenGL ES 2.0 like the iPhone 3GS.

 

Why isn't the 8gb model listed then? and they skipped 16gb

 

Its the same thing they did with the 8gb iphone 3g after they released the 3gs - they are continuing to sell the older hardware at a discounted price in hopes that more people will purchase their products

Yeah, they did skip the 16GB. I am really disappointed with Apple that they didn't put a camera on the iTouch.

 

It probably had something to do with not wanting to directly compete with the iPhone

 

Well, it's a bad move 'cause Apple had a drop on the share price on the iTouch when the event ended.
