Anyone have any info on the new NGMOCO games that have popped up on the Plus+ Games tab under ngmoco's employees? There are two listed "We Rule" and another one I can't remember off the top of my head (has something to do with plants) Has ngmoco made any announcements?
I have also seen one called GodFinger. Based on the awards and name it sounded like a Pocket God clone.
what i dont get, for example, topple 2 and Dr. Awesome, they sell them normally for 1 dollar, but with a little plus+ thing, ITS FREE!!!! and i picked em up before they relize but hey, did they do this on purpose?
I found these two games IN the Plus+ application on various games on the iPhone. If you're friends with certain ngmoco employees you'll see these apps under their "Recently Played tab"
I'm not satisfied with how Ng has handled their recent business models..can't say this definitively but its looking unlikely that I'll pick up their future games..idk.
I love Touch pets but not how they made it where you can only get 5 dogs so if you have your limit you can not get the new dogs with out opening a new account and loseing everything and I have spent 65 dollars on this game just trying to trade food for dogs clothing and other things. I think they could have done this better. You should beable to buy as many dogs as you like. I would not buy another like this one. But I wish they would fix touch pets it is my money you should beable to get what you want with the game.
To be completely honest, ngmoco has gone completely off my radar since they've become obsessed with offering coin-op game experiences. Last game I bought from them(and loved) was Rolando 3. I'd be more than happy to pay a fair price up front for games like Eliminate and/or Pets or unlimited play, online OR OFFLINE, but I refuse to even download them if it means supporting their ploy to have you pumping quarters into your iPhone. When the focus of their games returns to fun gameplay being the #1 focus, vs. revolving around the best way for them to make money, I'll be the first in line. When the whole focus, of the way you play the game is to work around having to buy food and power cells, then the gameplay experience, fun, and your wallet are BIG losers in that equation. I'm all for developers making a profit on their wares, but plenty of people are making money on their games without resorting to such pathetic tactics.
I didn't know there was a Rolando 3. Anyways, you do realize that Eliminate offers unlimited play, right?
Ngmoco gives there 99cent games for free after a while because they make more money inserting advertising into their games. I'm actually a bit disappointed in NGMOCO because they claimed they were going to be the Nintendo of the iphone and they showed a ton of potential with the polish they showed in their games. But now that I'm looking back at NGMOCO, I really only enjoyed the rolando series and everything else were pretty much 1 trick ponies. I can't really say much about Elminate or Touchdogs because I don't really have any desire to buy dlc (or wait to play the game to earn progress in eliminate's case) and would prefer to just buy the game and be done with it (something gameloft got right)
I meant Rolando 2 of course. Maybe it was in the Touch Pets thread, but I read somebody was disappointed that they couldn't buy more than 5 dogs in the game or something like that, and they've invested $65 into ngmoco's "game." I'm sorry, but you've got folks who've invested more money than they'd have to put down for a full next-gen console game, and in the end they still end up disappointed with an intentionally limited gameplay experience. What ngmoco is doing is beyond stupid. Sure you download the title for free, but then you start investing money, and they keep moving the ball until you reach a point where you don't have any scope of what you're investing in.
