thanks. It was a loooong time in coming. Initial feedback seems good. It can be hard for me to tell how people will react as I've been staring at these logos seemingly forever. arn
Classic, simple, yet still captivating. Really nice work. It's come a long way since I saw the brainstorm for it in the other thread. Edit: The colors are the best part. Great choices.
I think it's very stylish and modern, but I don't think it represents games as much as the other one did... Though I'm okay with that, since the logo is meant to represent the site.
Color scheme stinks Logo is okay, color scheme is horrendous. Grey and yellow.... might be okay for a construction site with loaders and cement trucks but it is not alright for the Touch Arcade logo, keep trying.
I love it Colors are my favorite anyways and the arcade cabin, man I wouldn't have seen that in 1000 years. Now I can't unsee the pun. Lovely work !
I thought it was pretty obvious. But looks like people have missed it. I'd suggest a teeny tiny space invader in the cabinet... assuming the licensing still holds.
Perhaps if the hollow of the "a" were filled up, more people would see the arcade? I am all for keeping it as it is, but my two cents.
Hey there, I'm Steve. I helped with the initial sketches for the logo. I love how it came out in the end, Wolfgang did a wonderful job! So a big cheer for him. It was hard keeping the new logo to myself for a bit over a month. But I'm glad that you like it, I can't count how many designs we went though, but it came out great. I just wanted to stop by and say thanks for all the mentions & tweets. -Steve (also LimeiBook86 from MacRumors )
I miss the old one, it was iconic and very defining. The new one looks somehow like most icons do, it reminds me of commercial game networks somehow. ;(
