For example, the first section takes place in a rainstorm, and the rain effects are pretty sweet. The first mini boss fight was quite decent, too. This really feels like a PS2/PS3 era game, which is a good thing in my boom sebgo and anthony78 like this. squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,716 1,240 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #9 squarezero, Apr 8, 2024 Redownloaded Takashi Ninja Warrior to refresh my memory. It’s night and day (no pun intended). Nine Night looks and plays like a real console/PC game; Takashi is a pale imitation. Haven’t played enough to say for sure it’s worth the premium price. But so far I have nothing to regret. sebgo likes this. psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,972 722 113 England #10 psj3809, Apr 9, 2024 Is it non linear or a set path ? Looks very good and I’m tempted ! squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,716 1,240 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #11 squarezero, Apr 9, 2024 Last edited: Apr 9, 2024 Set path with optional routes — with exploration rewarded with special items. Very PS2 . The game seems divided into chapters based on environmental conditions — rain in the first one, fire in the second one (that’s as far as I’ve gotten). There’s a bit of Prince of Persia here, with wall running, swinging, and trap-based sections. Combat has both dodge and parry, nicely implemented to avoid a mess of screen controls. Talking about controls, so far I’ve been doing okay with touch, but I’ve kind hit a difficult patch and will probably switch to my Backbone. Edit: I made it through with touch . hbernritter Well-Known Member Jul 15, 2010 950 33 28 Inventory/Marketing Manager Toledo, OH #12 hbernritter, Apr 9, 2024 Does it have a ninja gaiden feel to it? sebgo likes this. squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,716 1,240 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #13 squarezero, Apr 10, 2024 Last edited: Apr 10, 2024 I haven’t played a modern (3D) Ninja Gaiden game, but from what I know, that’s probably a big inspiration here. sebgo and hbernritter like this. agreen437 Well-Known Member Jun 12, 2014 1,703 222 63 #14 agreen437, Apr 13, 2024 Can’t even get passed the first mini boss I tried and tried so I just gave up and deleted (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
