I am still wearing the pants and shirt yes lol well I did get the cold resistant chest piece but thats it. I cant afford anything else EDIT: Should I be sticking to main quest or what? I need some money seeing all these articles with awesome armor and stuff makes me think either I am not too far along to have nice things or I am sidetracked too easily lol
Main story is fine, but you make a killing off collecting items and killing the easier monsters like the skeletons, jelly things and the typical goblins. There parts alone sell for good money. But if you follow the story, and speak to everyone in the town u find so many missions and rewards, i promise u it will become easy. I have 4000 rupees just selling lots of stuff!
Yes, from the first village koriko then the one called hateno village. The great thing is even if u have simple armour u can enhance it! Also speak to people n kakariko village and read the book in the impas house. I take it u have gathered alot of stuff? Then sell it u will quickly get it back
I am talking about a handheld. I was never able to play with a any of the Gameboys, let alone DS comfortably, same for PSP and Vita. They were all smaller than the Switch and less than perfect control was obviously an accepted drawback.
Ya I saw you were saying about if this being successful and they might release a smaller more portable version. I am basically responding to that part. I think what Nintendo do currently is actually a pretty smart move overall. Instead of having to focus on 2 different platforms like they have always been. Now they actually only need to deal with one. Cuz the Switch can play as a home console and also as a handheld itself. With that said you can grow your library in just one place instead of having to waste resource on releasing games on 2 different platforms
Just piping up to say I got the Shovel Knight Treasure Trove collection last night. Never played the original on any other format, though I was aware of its reputation. Anyway, it's an excellent 8-bit-style platformer and, in the Nintendo world of pricing, probably worth the money, given that it's actually three full games, one of which is currently exclusive to the Switch. Must say, after several years of touchscreen gaming on iOS, it's refreshing to play a platformer with physical controls again. Not that I haven't loved Goblin Sword, Super Phantom Cat, etc. It does make me very interested in the future releases of Dandara and, especially, SteamWorld Dig 2.
No i feel the same i do prefer controls on MOST games, there are a few though that benefit greatly from touch controls. Im on the fence with shovel knight? Most retro platformers i get bored with fairy quickly unfortunately
Then maybe it's not for you. It's very good, but perhaps no better than, say, Goblin Sword on iOS - which is admittedly perhaps the best platformer on the App Store, and also dirt cheap. For me, with Shovel Knight, it's just refreshing to have a controller again.
Im really glad you gave me your opinion on it because I would not play it after a week. See i do like goblin sword and games like this but they are not the gaming experience i am looking for personally. Thanks so much cuz u have saved me a fait bit of money dude!
What's the difficulty like? Is it frustratingly difficult like some old school platformers? Trying to decide between Shovel Knight and Blaster Master.
Yeah, I agree. Blaster Master looks very interesting, and has a weird combination of top-down action and side-scrolling platforming. Looks cool, but I'd want to see some reviews first. Shovel Knight is just genuinely very good, not mind-blowing, but a really fine tribute to 80s games. Definitely a safe bet.
Blaster Master got a 8/10 on Nintendo Life and I played the original on NES. Still have a copy in fact so I sort of know what I'm getting into there. Plus it's only $10. Shovel Knight is universally highly rated but I just can't see it in the videos I've watched. Like you said, it looks good but not great. It's more expensive but you do get three games. What I really want is another AAA title like Zelda but it looks like we have a while before we get another one.
What all you guys doing!?!? I played last night for a while and unlocked a tower in the dessert area? I love unlocking those they remind me of Far Cry towers or Horizon Zero Dawn Tallnecks that show you some map stuff.
Ive got 70% of the map opened but some areas are getting hard with cold and heat effects. I can safely say for me its the best game ive ever played, i love the immersion, and its sooo much better then skyrim in that im nowhere near bored! Some guy on the Nintendo life forum said he completed the campaign in 59 hours furst try, which sounds crazy to me, i looked online and right now they are saying thats how long the campaign is but i think its got to be double thtat on first try, without looking at walkthroughs or anything. Ive easily put in 59 hours and i reckon im half way right now!
Man I am taking my time and no where near that! I play Skyrim or Horizon Zero Dawn every other night so I dont play Zelda every day. So how many towers are there? I think thats my favorite thing to do as of now.
Not sure id say theres 20 plus? Maybe.... Yeah course if your playing other games then it will take even longer. Personally i cant play two big games at the same time as i find sometimes it makes me not play the other so i like to finish one at a time lol
