    Fighters have 2 slots as well so the sentense confused me, it sounded like it takes your ship's energy

    The first ship is a figter, the last nivelian ship that isn't nestaar (Atuno Rheep?) is a fighter and many more :) I still haven't got any purple parts for the gadgets #

    Go for "Hard" missions, those will give you a lot more purple parts.

    I always do. I've never chosen any other difficulty level. Bad luck, I guess - especiaĺly with the crash after I finaĺly got it

    Oh wait, did you mean the difficulty level of a mission, or really harder missions? Like evacuation compared to cargo protect?

    What missions do you do and why? I do the cargo protect ones, becouse it is hard to fail these. I did take some convoy missions sometimes when I had a ship with a good energy and long range high firepower low accuracy weapon

    I meant the difficulty level. I usually take the cargo protection because it takes relatively less time than other ones.

    Rank 30, 19 hours flying time and still no gadget. I wonder if it is glitched for me becouse of the crash that happened after I got the last part.

    This made me think of this idea: make a part more common in some missions (and type it in the description, of course). For example, if you want the parts for nestaar (the latest ship), do convoy missions, they are more common there.

    Every mission is 3x the same stage, why not make it more interesting and maybe a little bit random? Random events happening during missions, like a civil ship got in and is now under attack of the pirates and if you save them, you get extra reward

    After defeating Khador, enemies are too weak

    There is some event where they'll be showing GOF3 "with information that were not available before" - new features?

    Another question that I was longing to ask: what does "Rank" do in the game? Right now it seems like to be just a counter that kinda reflect how long you have played the game.

    It does nothing now. I remember DSFishlabs talking about gof3 as upcoming MMO game - choosing 2 wingmans that are not even controlled by players is not MMO

    Not a sequel

    This is all I needed to hear… No free exploration, no trading… Simply not a sequel of galaxy on fire… I'll just skip this one (no matter how free it is) and wait for Galaxy on fire 4

    Perfect examples of sequels:
    Heroes and Castles --> Heroes and Castles 2
    Dungeon Hunters 2 --> Dungeon Hunters 4

    Examples of disastrous sequel-disappointments:
    Galaxy on Fire 2 --> Galaxy on Fire 3
    Dungeon Hunters 2 --> Dungeon Hunters 3
    Dungeon Hunter 4 --> Dungeon Hunters 5

    (Fishlabs please check out in depth the first example of how a sequel should be... Old Game core untouched... New game core "expanding" the old one... Updated graphics... Increased complexity... "Additional" new enemies, weapons, battlefields... moreover, ironically Heroes & Castles 2 evolved one key aspect oppositely as Galaxy on Fire 3 did: H&C1 had a simple menu HUD from which you could select your missions (as GoF3 has) while in H&C2 you have a large country map of conquered castles where you can freely travel, regional castles in which you find missions, around which you can freely explore the surroundings and even find hidden treasure chests (exactly like the freedom of the so much loved galaxy map of dynamic star systems which unforgivably disappeared form GoF2 to GoF3). Has GoF3 "involved"?)

    this is a déjà vu of how Gameloft literally ruined a work of art with Dungeon Hunter 5 (especially when, with the 4th game of the DH saga, they had FINALLY got it right) by not understanding something as simple as the fact that a sequel should be something that, without subtracting, only upgrades and extends something already successful and understanding one of the basic golden rules of life: that if something still works very well you should not throw it away or replace it, no matter how much times change, and that by changing game strategy and difficulty you change the target-gamer type leaving the previous funbase gamers orphans and the new gamers (appropriate different fanbase for the new "sequel") unaware of its existence and that, if you really want to experiment something new, no problem about it as long as you do it creating a new saga instead of ruining a successful one by dismembering it and then sawing together a Frankensteinian abomination that won't stand on its feet for long just because you want to join the group of the cool kids with the new successful trends...

    ... This should be called a "spin off" like GoF Alliances, and should be called, for example, "GoF Missions" as the first of its own new saga...

    PS
    The Free App with InAppPurchases strategy is totally fine for me. In my case I never need to pay a single dime because I have only 30/45 min per day available for relaxing videogaming and therefore I don't even notice the timers (or, if I do, I simply task-switch to the next Game the timers of which have already zeroed) and I don't mind at all searching for blueprints/materials to build new ships/enhancements since I find it a fun additional challenge AS LONG AS it doesn't force you to mindlessly rutinely repeat the same identical missions/fights (as Order & Chaos 2 does making them (not me!) repeat the same dungeon hundreds of times to build an equipment... Big mistake... Routine=Work; Diversity/Surprises/NewStuff=Fun... I don't understand how players find routine fun... They'll probably make very good employees when they grow up ;) )

    Toby from Fishlabs, at the point of this post edit I have already hunted down and read all of your posts in the 33 previous pages (this is how much hope I still have for GOF"3") and I thank you for the jucy "hints" on future "evolution" of gof... I hope that when your Head of Studio mentioned "exploration" meant what we all hope... Crossing fingers... And when he mentioned "new core funtionalities and game modes" he meant to include MMO... But even if it doesn't evolve into a full MMO we would be greatly satisfied even if it just ends up introducing quick multiplayer battles as "World of Tanks" and "Walking War Robots" masterfully pulled off on our handheld devices....

    I also hope (but this is just a suggestion, since I know it is a LONG shot) you'll follow the example of XCOM2 by evolving into randomly generated maps/missions that will easily add endless new content simply by adding an infinite amount of (almost)random permutations of already programmed elements/enemies/maps... it'd be hard to implement but think about this, you'd be the first to produce a handheld procedurally generated game... No, wait, Solomon Keep and PocketRPG already are (sort of, but still, that's he reason they'll always b on my phone for as old as they may be)... But if you pull it off with such a huge title as GoF"3" nobody will even remember those small precedents hopelessly shadowed by the size of your new landmark... it'd be so cool... Goodbye to ever repeating the same mission again! ;)

    I would like if Tobi gave us some new info on the game's release date.I was thinking it would launch soon even before Sacred Legends but now I don't know what is going on.To be honest-I want to play it and am still in deep hope it will launch soon.

    Cheers, guys. My vacation was fine... I attended a small heavy metal festival close to Hamburg, spent a dew days in the Harz mountains and had a relaxed, long weekend at home. :)

    As for GOF3, it is coming along nicely. But we realized we needed more time to prepare the game for the worldwide launch. So we had to move the release date from summer to autumn. We know the longer wait sucks, but the final product will benefit from it.

    This is almost unbelievable.Glad to see this,to be honest.I personally voted for exploration mode because it was made the series what it was and I see a lot of people in the poll agree with me.I am kind of grateful that you decided to rethink some of the stuff you said earlier and improve the game,I guess it will take a lot of time to add free-roaming but it will make the game great.Also the removal of repair timers is a good idea too but I don't want to push you,because now it feel like we are asking too much as a community.To be honest when I play F2P games I have a problem with paying for repair timers and such but I wouldn't mind paying for ships or weapons.It's just in the mindset of a person I guess but I think most people will agree with me on that one too.

    Anyway,really glad to see this news!Keep up the good work DSFishlabs..and Tobi :)

    For people who have played this through an NZ account or through beta: have the FTP timers or mechanics been adjusted to be more forgiving at all? Loved GoF2 and am happy to pay premium prices for unlocks that remove timers etc, but early sentiment on this game was pretty negative in terms of ftp mechanics so figured I would see if anything changed.

    Following up on our community poll from last month, we are currently working on a removal of the ship repair timer. We are also busy implementing a number of other features our players have asked for.
