Nothing yet. I think it’s safe to say that all m1 and m2 iPads will work (IPad Pro and Air.) I don’t know about A13 to A15 chips, even though they do support metal 3.. Hopefully they do get it to work. Will just have to see when they post the full compatibility list.
Well guys it’s out on Mac still no iPad version I’m still watching and waiting for the iPad version as I don’t own a Mac
I believe the AppStore version is still coming, I think. Sean posted with a red Apple So maybe red means steam release. There is still the green Apple. Maybe Green = AppStore update.…… I think “maybe” thats what the emojis mean? Plus some people are starting to find iOS files in the game, one is for iOS touch controls and another shows a page full of iOS UI icons
So no real announcement for No Man’s Sky at the WWDC23 . But Sean just post another emoji today on twitter, this time a brain. This emoji means a content or expedition update is now coming soon. Most of the time these updates are released the same week as the emoji was posted. The Green apple emoji still needs to happen, possible this week, maybe along side this next update? If it doesn’t release with this update, will have wait again. Possibly a month or two after this content or expedition update is over. Maybe it will happen during the big annual summer update.
Of course. I’ll keep an eye out. I’m pretty sure it’s coming to iPad. There is just too many things that says it is. A company called, The Forge Interactive is helping Hello Games port to Mac and iPad as stated on their website. Also Here is some iOS UI icons.
Just posting this to update anyone that is interested. A new supposedly big update is coming for the Steam version. This will be the 7th anniversary update for No Man’s Sky. The game was released on Steam August 9, 2016. Whenever there is a content update there is a possible release for ipad. Sean announced the update on twitter(x) with a ? Mark and the title “Echoes”. This announcement is a bit unusual for Hello Games. As you can see on the list, the question marks are definitely different than the usual emojis. Place holder maybe? All platforms came with an update upon their releases. So there is a possibility the iPad release could be attached to this update, but again I wouldn’t put too much anticipation into it. Anyway, just to keep everyone updated. : ) We should know what this update is shortly. Sometime this weekend or sometime next week..
So it looks like it was a content update for the game. And visual improvements for the switch. No word on the iPad version. I suppose the next content update will come in October sometime. Will see what happens than.
I get why some games are iPad only but I don’t understand why people make the effort. I know the mobile market is huge and there’s a lot of money to be made but the iPad gaming market sounds kinda niche? Do devs make profit on iPad only games? I had an iPad Air 2 back when that come out and did use it a lot, but in the end I haven’t missed it since my phone always seems more than good enough rather than buying an iPad too.
They haven’t announced anything new yet for iPad, the next content update for No Man Sky might be late February or March. They only announced some expedition events for the holidays today. They also announce their next game for Steam, I’m not sure how that will affect things.
No nothing. They just released the first of the year update on thursday, it’s a small update for all other devices, they called it “Omega update.” The Apple spring event should be coming around soon. Maybe than. : /
So is this game never going to release for iPad? I’m really hoping it still comes but not holding my breath
I dare to say it will be much cheaper and better to join game pass and play No man’s sky there. No graphical limits compared to mobile device, even you can sync your own edited save file between PC game pass and xcloud version. With better xcloud script, you can play with touch control. Don’t wait for iPad version too much
