So hello, it has been almost a year since I last posted and I really lost the track of what was going on here at the TA Forums so I have a couple of questions. 1) As the title says, any great title I've missed from 2016? (Yeah, the whole year, I've been gone for a while) 2) I'm dating this girl who's kind of a casual gamer, she doesn't really play a lot but I wanted to gift her the iOS port of Transistor, is it as good as the PS4 version or there's some drawbacks other than the touch controls? And how big is it? So yeah, I'd love to say that I'm back but life's been chaotic lately for me and I just wanted to say hi again
Welcome back Outlander! I would suggest Love You To Bits to gift your girlfriend. It's a nice little point and click puzzle game with a great story. It's about a boy who has a robot girlfriend that gets blown up and he searches the universe to find all of her parts to put her back together. Plus you're giving her a game that says "Love you to bits". Transistor is a great game too though. I can't compare to PS4 but the controls are very good. As far as games of 2016, Steamworld Heist is as good as it gets if you haven't played it already. Oh and if you missed Crashlands you definintely have to check that out.
Welcome back. I'm gonna lurk on this thread as I've been out for a while too and have missed a lot of games. I'm looking forward to the GOTY noms, there'll be great ideas there.
Crashlands was one of the last games I bought this year, will definitely give it another look and about Steamworld Heist I was thinking of buying it for my Vita but I don't know, I have far more space on my iPad anyways so I guess I'll buy it for it instead. And thanks for the recommendation of "Love You To Bits", it definitely sounds interesting and a great gift for her, I really want to prove her that videogames can be far more than the typical FPS game and that they can actually be art
Okay, Transistor has dropped price considerably so I'm adding more stuff to the gift list for my gf, thus far I have: Transistor, Lifeline, Lifeline: White Night, Rusty Lake Generations, Bastion and Reigns, any more ideas?
I second these. The Room 3 - technically a little older but you might have missed it. Dust: An Elysian Tale also a little older but a great game. Lost Socks: Naughty Brothers. One of this years best / hardest platformers. Sky Force Reloaded - shooter, bullet hell, but done really well. Severed Deus Ex Go - puzzler like Hitman and Lara Croft with Deus Ex theme.
Thanks, I already got Dust and Deus Ex Go (I'm a HUGE fan of DX) but I'll definitely try them all as soon as I get the chance
