Already got it. I just think it'll be cool to have a game like this on my ipod. Sort of like a collectible.

This has came up on the iTunes store search for a few days now, does that mean it's out tonight?

I don't know why you're all getting your panties in a twist, there are hundreds of apps on the store designed to trick customers. All of those mirror/phone tracker/x-ray apps rely on people being stupid enough to believe they work, then hide behind the pathetic excuse that the apps are "meant for entertainment". At least this guy has warned you in advance.

I already own Canabalt, so instead of spending 99 more cents on this game I think I will play Canabalt and then delete the game forever when I die. Same experience, no?

Lol I'm interested in seeing how people react to this. Here's a list of possible reactions:

    "****!"
    "****!"
    "******* ***!"
    "Well that wasn't worth 99c!"
    "Hey I won!"
    "******!!!!"
    "I wonder what's on TV?"

  11. Hi guys!
My name is Anthony O'Dempsey and I'm the owner of FreshTone Games. I'm also the lead designer of One Single Life. We've had a blast making the game and I hope you all enjoy the thrill of playing a game with only one life!

So - I have some good news, some bad news and some embarrassing news.
Let's start with the bad news first. As ooooooooooomonkey rightly pointed out, One Single Life was available for sale (free, actually) but we've since removed the game worldwide. Why?

    Well, that's the embarassing news...

The version on sale was never actually intended for release - it contains a critical bug but the ‘release date’ passed without me realising in time to adjust it forward. (yes, I’m red in the face)

So what's the good news? Well, because we already had a new version of the game submitted to Apple for review, the game should be ready for release (fingers crossed) within a week!

To any of our respected fans and customers, if you did purchase the game and have experienced issues, please get in touch with us and let us know the exact issue(s):

    [email protected]

And we will do our best to make sure you are 100% satisfied with your purchase.
Sincerely, thanks and I look forward to popping back here when One Single Life is released 'officially'!

This could actually be a good idea and a game you could charge for if you offer some sort of reward if players make it to the end of the game. For example, you could charge .99 for the game and offer a $10 iTunes gift card if players "win" the game

Yes, but that could never really be. Although the game would be difficult, there are some very experienced gamers out there. If you have 100 players and 50 actually make it to the end, you're $400 in the hole.

Sounds a crazy idea. Might get a fair bit of publicity but can't believe sales would be good. Shame as the game looks okay but I'll pass due to the single life idea which is commercial suicide

I really love the idea and can't wait. Seriously. Cool concept! And I'm sure, many will try it. Mankind works that way :)

In an experimental platform like the iOS, and with such low prices as we have right now, I think it is an awesome proposal. Very provocative!

I think there's no better time to create something like this.

Just one question: Is there an end to the game? Or is it something like an "endless runner"?

It's looks similar to canabalt but with nicer graphics. But the gameplay is all about one single jump at a time, you tap to start running then tap again to jump. But it's timing when to jump as to not fall short or over shoot the landing. I played last week when it came out on the store by mistake. It looks cool I'll be picking it up when it officially comes out.

If a price is put on it, it won't sell unless someone doesn't read the description and only goes by the screens which is likely to happen.

It also just looks like a flash port with no depth and little effort put into it.
