For a really good idea of how OpenFeint should be incorporated into a game, take a look at Steampunk Solitaire for the iPad. Rather than using that generic look and feel, they have incorporated their own appearance on top of the OF functionality. More developers should have it fit into their games as seamlessly. OpenFeint doesn't have to really take you out of the game, it just does the way most people seem to implement it.
This is the ultimate goal, I don't want OF to hinder performance, the game play, or intrude on the interface anymore than necessary.
anyone with doubts about putting details into a third party host such as Open Feint may consider something official such as Game Centre, so I'd go with that.
Software is dynamic it can always be changed! When GameCenter is live with many users I may consider changing things. As with everything in life this will make some happy and others upset!
