Pets loot table? Sorry if this has been asked already, but is there a list yet anywhere of which monsters drop which pets? Thanks!
You don't meet the minimum level requirement. You basically arrived too early. Go back and search for the quests you missed and/or grind and/or do repeatable quests till you can.
Lol person A gank person B. Person c ganks person A. person A curses and calls C a ganker. Circle of life. And no Baronic isn't my in game name Part of the game is pvp. Don't hate the players hate the game. But IMO to avoid yanking I agree there should be like, a level restriction gap for pvp, and after spawning you shouldn't be able to be pked immediately. Hope gameloft changes that. Till then though I'll be ganking gankers. :3
Is there a difference if you choose order or choas? It seem that the location is different, but is the story? Also, I hear that the mage sucks, and that many like the monk, but I haven't heard much about the warrior and ranger. Are those pretty good also, or should I go with a monk?
Not even that. The only difference is the very first newbie area, about 15-30 minutes of your game time, then the Chaos race players are instructed to go teleport to Silence while the Order race players walk down a path to Silence. After that the game is identical. Play what you want, there's no difference in game content and the game isn't complex enough as of yet that it matters what a party consists of. I have one of each, I like each for different reasons.
Captain's Symbol I have a smithing recipe that requires a Master Sergeant's Symbol, which I haven't found yet. I did, however, loot a Captain's symbol. And since it's bound to me now, I'm hoping I can use it in a smithing recipe. I know it's used in leather recipes, but are they exclusive to leather? I don't want to buy another "blue" recipe without knowing I have the ingredients for it. Thanks!
Thanks. Also, is a monk only good for doing things with a team? It looks like the skills are directed to other players more.
My divine Monk is definitely not over powered...I wanted the rez, heals over time and am working toward my group heal spell.... I wish I were overpowered and could QUICKLY take down mobs? Especially, when surrounded by tons of mobs with aggro. Or even just a mob my same level. That and I wish people would stay grouped longer than to finish their quests, I kill mobs too slowly LOL!
If you wanted to go with a monk I'd recommend going down the military tree. They can do pretty good dps and have some good heal abilities too. And because for now divine monks aren't too needed. Divines would be used mostly for instances, and even keeping your stronger, more well equipped, and more heavily armored players (ex. warriors) alive in pvp.
This makes me sad. I picked a healer class, solely to help others. Regardless of their playable class or guild. Throughout the entire time I have had healing ability, I will run through toward a quest destination - noticing a player struggling with a mob, or just injured along the path... I will stop, and bless the player, heal them through their battle with a wolf or harpie, cast a heal over time and help the next traveler I see. I've rez'd and helped many a stranger near death. I don't see why anyone would get satisfaction from harming other players against their will. My only gripe, is because I don't do a lot of damage and people don't really group, Ill take on a mob (ever so slowly) in a populated area, in my own corner...I'll be whittling it's health and some DMG dealing class will steal the mob I've been chiseling away at :0(
They're pretty self sufficient. Whether you consider it a plus or a negative, they designed the classes in such a way that any one of them can solo most of the content. For example, there's one talent skill you can choose that gives the monk virtual armor for their wisdom and stamina that makes them considerably less squishy even though they're limited to cloth. I mostly solo and group up to check off quests where there's limited targets. I'm doing what some of the others posting here have mentioned: doing a little of both talent trees so the monk is strong enough to solo, but also useful in a party situation as a healer. You could go the opposite route and be a strictly loner monk, or be an uber healer but squishy, it's up to your choices.
I don't think it works like that? I have yet to fully understand if there is an aggro system. The aggro, so far I've found, works like this: whoever hits the mob first, the mob with attack them. And whoever attacks the mob first always gets the loot and the kill(ex: I do 1 dmg, you do 500, but I hit first and I get THE KILL!, and the loot).
I know that some people are very frustrated with the PvP areas in the game. Some jerks just can't help themselves to killing weaker players. I got jumped by a ranger 4 levels higher than me when I was at half health, just starting to sit down and eat. I popped a potion and courage (warrior self heal) and charged him. I got lucky, as a croc spawned right next to him and help me defeat him, lol. But of course he came back and hunted me down three more times just to make sure I knew he was higher level than me. -.- Anyways, I just wanted to point out that once the PvP arenas open up, there should be a lot less ganging going on in the questing areas. There'd will always be some, but the arenas should definitely bring those numbers down. So arenas are something to look forward to, even if you don't plan on using them, hehe.
You sound like my kind of people! You sound mature and good hearted. I agree 100% with you. Stay the way you are
A tip for level 24s in the Swamp. The quests seem to run out for a bit, and yet the two available areas to move to next (Library and Port) have mobs that are level 28 or more. And in between is the PVP area that is not the ideal spot for grinding mobs. So I decided to teleport to the Library, went round the coast a bit, and there is a great grinding area with a load of lvl 26 fish-men. They are spaced far enough apart that you can take on one at a time, drop 1-3s money (which adds up quickly), quite often drop some decent weapons, and overall it's a pleasant way to level up. If you don't like the idea of grinding, you can always justify it as working towards the repeating Spore and (erm) Worm(?) quests, as the fish men drop those also. Accidentally attract two or more mobs and you can always run off into the sea where they don't follow. And if that was not enough incentive, in levelling a couple of characters up there I've had not one but two very nice "blue fish with legs" pet drops. Vanity pets are somehow cooler if you don't have to pay for them.
I re-rolled to a hunter and am having a lot of fun. Beat a warrior two levels at higher than me at lv 6 (lol I know that is low but I'm just starting out). I went into stealth mode, stunned him for 4 seconds, then made him bleed, then just kept doing the ability where you do 110% of dmg + another number of damage which has a very fast cooldown, I basically spam this. A problem with rogue I've found is that it's a bit slow. I looked in the talent tree and a lot of abilities are buffed up by being in stealth, and the stealth has a pretty big cooldown. If you want to guarantee to kill a mob, stealth mode is a way to go, but it's rather slow. And if I just rush in and start attacking rapidly than my health goes down more than usual.. rogue looks fun so far, lots of stun abilities and silence abilities which will make a great pvp element.
