Try divine monk vs. divine monk.

Once you both get healing breath, it's actually impossible to kill the other.
    Not "tough," but "impossible."

Another divine monk kept jumping me while I was grinding...we were both level 39 or so.

10 minutes each time of heal..arrow of faith....arrow of faith....wait...wait...heal....then divine breath to do it all over again.

    Actually, I love it : D

Been beating warriors in duels tonight, as an assassin. Either they've never dueled, or having experience as a rogue/feral druid in WoW has given me the advantage. Assassins definitely feel a little OP right now, it will be interesting to see what the global pvp stats are like once arenas are implemented.

The PvP is starting to annoy me now. Maybe they should have just stuck with duelling and allowed participants to bet gold on the outcome or expanded it in some other ways.

Example: I finally managed to complete a couple of quests in the ruins (Whispering Isle PvP area), I go to cash them in and some ABSOLUTE HERO, 4 levels above me, starts shooting at me with his lame little bow WHILE I AM TALKING TO A QUEST NPC. This little tosser was standing there, waiting, I swear, for people to turn up with their PvP still active so he could attack while they are handing in quests.

I didn't retaliate. What is the f**king point? I just stood there, let him get his tiny hard-on from killing a lower level character, respawned, went back and cashed the quest. He was long gone, of course. His attention deficit syndrome probably kicked in just after he killed me.

Hoping that the introduction of proper PvP arenas will stop this is like hoping that opening a neighbourhood boxing gym will stop you getting mugged on the way home. The pointless little twats who start fights they have no chance of losing won't want to do PROPER PvP.

Still, my solution is equally juvenile. I add them to my Friends list so I can keep an eye on them. Because one day we'll be the same level, won't we kiddies, and then maybe I'll spend all my time following you around, stealing your kills and pissing you off. What, that's not fair? Ah, what a shame.

Don't even start on PvP with me, I'm so annoyed with that, the amount of times I got hit in the back when I was talking to NPCs or fighting monsters is astonishing, there was even a group that was stanging in the ruins, where the quests are given out, attacking everyone who'd enter, so I had to stop playing for a couple of hours, and when I came back, they were all gone. I think one of them was actually a guild master. I usually ignore people who "kill" me, respawn, get back to my stuff, don't fight back, unless I know I have a chance.

And who are the ? level playerss anyway? I got killed by them several times, does it mean they are so above you, you can't even comprehand their level?

I also added some of those griefers to the friends list, some sort of a death note or revenge list when i get to level cap. One that comes to mind is named Executor84, I got ganked and graveyard camped by him at Vega Square. Another is MSFT or something, got ganked and stalked by him in the swamps when i was around 22ish.
I think a ? means they are at least 10 levels above you. Can someone clarify?

Yeah it sounds like Gameloft needs to revamp PvP in their next update, I personally would restrict it to duels only, or have some PvP 'arena' that does not have quests in that zone. I would hate to see otherwise enthusiastic players quit in disgust because of some immature a-holes ruining it for everyone.

Totally agree. I'm now level 28 but had my first experience of a PvP arena and talk about frustrating. Full of cowards who only attack you if youre talking to someone or as they obvoiusly realise that they're a higher level than you. Bit like the school bullies, if someones a few levels above they'll run. Few levels below they'll annoy you to hell.

I am so tempted to go back to that arena now that i'm nearly level 29 and start kicking some butt. But then that makes me just as bad as them. But its like the 'wimpy kid' at school who is now the strong one, i want to go back and find these idiots and destroy them !

I wouldnt pick a fight with anyone but if i see some poor person doing a quest and some idiot attacks him for some reason then i'll getting some payback by opening my can of whoop-ass !

Escape + Sneak has been my saving grace in PvP areas. I'm not about to try leveling my monk until the graveyard camping is fixed.

I'm not getting pummeled while killing mobs, its more that people "try" to attack me while I'm walking on the road to turn in quests. I have yet to die, however I have paid some people back that chase me with cheap shots while they're busy questing :) I'll lock them up in a stun while they're getting attacked by a mob, then attack them myself with the hit bonus on dagger stab. Pop'em with cutthroat before the stun wears off, and they can't cast anything for another 6 seconds. Boom - they die :) Ha Ha Ha! *Poof*

So to be a blacksmith, do I have to pay real money to buy Flux? Or can I find it somewhere? What else can a player not do if we don't purchase gold/runes or whatever?

You don't have to pay real money for flux. You can buy it with in game currency from materials vendors. There are two advantages Gameloft has unfortunately given to people who will spend additional cash beyond the download cost and subscription fees.

    1. Essences. There are high level crafting recipes for epic gear that require essences that can only be purchased with runestones (bought via IAP). And there is no way for people to discover this unless they read it in forums or pay for the game, spend their time leveling their character and profession, then get to the point where they are ready to craft these epic items. Many of the crafted items will run you in the realm of $15 a piece to buy the essences to make.

    2. Temporary stat boosters purchased with runestones. I don't care nearly as much about this one, but it is still an unfair advantage since these stat boosts are applied even during PvP.

Other than that runestone IAPs only give you vanity pets, and the convenience of respawning where you die rather than in the nearest graveyard.

You don't have to purchase anything to be a Blacksmith. Simply farm for money to by the flux(or sell items from kills). Your not forced to 'Buy' any Gold nor Runes to get ahead with any job...

Only true until you reach the highest professional levels. When you want to start crafting epic gear, you need to buy essences with runestones.

Ugh, the lvl 40 grind is killing me. I already grinded from 37-40. There are no quests (all grey'ed out) and the mobs are only giving 275 exp on average. Where do you guys grind at this stage?

The need to grind increases a lot in the desert. Every couple of levels new quests will open up at various locations on the map (some not listed in the map so you have to hunt for camps, etc.), but they are not enough to get you to the next level where more quests will open up, so you are going to have to do some grinding. Gameloft has said they plan to add more quests to the desert and the following area in an update.

I was leveling up my lowbie monk char in the swamps today and got ganked from behind by a warrior. First I ran away but he kept pummeling me with his crossbow. I ran back and gave him a whopping.

Later on I got attacked by an archer who kept snaring me so I couldn't move and I healed all the time hitting him a few times. Ran out of mana and got killed.

Later on I got ganked by another archer. Logged out in the middle of the fight and took my Assassin from the Desert and brought her back to the Swamps. All the attackers were long gone so I logged my monk again.

After a while I got ganked yet again while killing the crocodiles. Instantly logged in my Assassin and killed the attacker. Then followed him back to the graveyeard and killed him four more times there. Later on he dared show his face in the Swamps again so I logged in the Assassin again and killed him. He kept shouting at me in german I believe.

Took a tour around the area with the Assassin and tracked down the two who had killed my monk so I killed each of them.

Later I got attacked by a ranger and I fled. Less than a minute ago she started peppering me with arrows again so I ran back and killed her.

Right after that I saw the one I had killed many times attacking me again but he didn't follow me when I ran away.

After that I took a habit of buffing and healing everyone in PvP area when I ran past. One person was already attacking me but quit right after I had buffed her.

That's my story of PvP. From now on I will be moving my higher level char to PvP areas where I quest with my leveling char.

I've grinded my way up to level 41 and leveling up to 42 turned out to be easy, as a lot of new quests open up for you, I'm almost level 43, and it took me less than a day!

I was grining by doing daily quests, repetative quests (like finding statues and books) and fighting lv 45-48 monsters.

    leveling...

Are there no quests after level 56??? And, i don't mean the daily quests...I have been grinding for the last 5 hours, and i only have leveled once....Also found out that once you hit level 55, things start to get a little boring....Finally, I understand why so many high level players are in the pvp areas and making life unfortunate for the lower levels....:)

41-43 stretch is quite painless. From 43 to 46 it's some grinding but 46-47 part seems the worst ever. I have to grind nearly the whole level. Actually I quit the grind and started a new char and with my main I'm only doing dailies. Tomorrow's dailies and just a bit of grind should get me to 47 for some new quests.
