I'm afraid I'm still not seeing any. I feel so silly. Is it possible the little blue arrow took me to the wrong spot? It stops me on a hill just to the southwest of Waterby, above a camp of the various rebel Waterby soldiers, right by the lake. There isn't anything that looks like a flower anywhere, just the bare hill, the camp, and a bunch of stupid Waterby guys attacking me. Is this the right place? What am I not seeing? EDIT: OK, found them along the road. The little blue arrow had indeed taken me to the wrong spot -- it was VERY insistent that the flowers were on the hill or in the camp.
The game just got released for Android. There are thousands of people playing worldwide on populated servers. How in the world is it dying?
A few questions from a new player: 1) I'm a level 18 warrior at the moment and am curious what skills other warriors find most useful. What skills do you have on the little fast-switch wheel? I've been using a lot of Courage, Lacerate, Swift Strike, and the bow auto-attack to lure mobs towards me, but I'm really not sure which of the attack stills is actually most useful damage-wise. 2) I'm also trying to figure out what talents are most important to put points into. I'm going for higher damage rather than higher defense, but beyond that I'm not sure which skills are most useful. 3) Dual-wield or two-handed? Right the dual-wield weapons I find seem to do a lot more than half the DPS of the two-handed weapons available to me, which suggests to me that dual-wielding is better... or am I missing something? Will this change at higher levels, making me regret placing talent points in the dual-wield skills rather than the two-handed skills? 4) I've never played an MMORPG before. What is the etiquette involved in joining teams? I've had random people ask me to team with them, and I've generally refused because I wasn't feeling sociable, but once I accidentally accepted and all that seemed to happen was that everyone ran around doing their own thing and there was some sharing of experience points. No one even talked to the other team members. Actually, I worry that I'm unknowingly being rude more generally. 5) If one person on a team finishes a quest, do other people on the team get credit for it, or does every team member have to do it individually. For example, does a team of three trying to do one of those "escort the stupid NPC who will walk straight into a fight with 5 mobs and get him/herself killed" quests have to escort the stupid NPC once, or three times (once for each team member)?
So im going traveling to the town of marcdiena or w/e the name is the one near the archfield pvp zone so all of a sudden i get into pvp mode which lasts 5 mins and i go to town and still in pvp mode some lvl 27 retard comes and kills me while i was about to start a quest wtf this is total bs what kind of retarted game developer puts a pvp area right where the quests are wtf when are they gonna fix this and take this bs pvp mode thing out that lasts 5 mins so freaking stupid
Congratulations. You've just begun to experience what thousands of other players have experienced countless times before. This is just the beginning. If you think this is bad, wait until Vega Square. Sadly, the only thing we can all do is to suck it up and live with it (or get some high-level friend/guildie to pwn that idiot.)
Map is ok. I need a map on screen while I'm walking around. I seem to get lost a lot. No one is chatting but on global. Global is spam, advertising, and sickos. I don't know how long I'll keep playing this. Good game, just needs to fix a few things.
I'll answer these questions as best I can. 1 & 2) I don't use lacerate much unless I'm fighting rangers/sins in PvP, as the constant bleed keeps them from going invisible. I would invest in Sonic Blade and the subsequent critical boost, as I find it really helpful and a great replacement for just shooting enemies with your bow. I also invested in Rotor Storm for the high knockdown, Two-hand Expert of course because you use two-handers, Bull's Strength, Warpath, Berserk, and Decapitate. That's all for the Battle tree, and for the Guardian tree I would suggest Charge, Precision, Heavy Clash/Staunch, Vitality Shout, and the rest is really up to you. Do note that the skills mentioned above aren't in any particular order. 3) Generally warriors two-hand just because of the much higher dmg output as compared to the dual-wield, and because for many the appearance of a two-handed weapon as compared to two single-handed weapons looks a lot better. Dual-wield is better in that it generates more morale and allows you to attack faster. The skills/talents I posted above are generally used for a two-hander. 4) Getting into a team really depends on whether or not you need help on a particularly difficult quest (and believe me, some of the later quests do become really difficult to solo). Rejecting a team invitation is pretty common, and it is not considered rude in any way. Again, most people team only to get by a tough quest, to talking really is kinda pointless. 5) As long as everyone in the team has the same quest, completing it once will finish it for everyone. Hope that helped.
But then what should i do i cant do any quests then cause someone comes along and kills me what kind of idiot makes a game where the quests are on pvp areas like seriously will they change the pvp area to somewhere else in an update??? I really hate this the pvp area has got to move or it should be optional whether u want to pvp or not
And wait till you realize that this game is in the end all about grinding .... if it was not a dragon lvl60 to kill I would quit playing. I am lvl53 and I have got nothing else to do ... come on devs give us an update!
It did, thank you very much! I appreciate it! Sounds like I shouldn't have put any talent points in dual wield skills. :-( Oh, well, such is life. So... does that mean that all of the people waiting for the retired sheriff on his porch could team, the person who got the quest could share it, and they could all do the quest at once instead of waiting endlessly? If so, that might help another problem with the quest... the high level players who are apparently waiting around specifically to grief players doing the escort the sheriff quest. :-( Managed to get one of those this morning despite almost no one being on (which is how I managed to get the escort quest in the first place). Someone at Gameloft REALLY didn't think this one through. Sadly it sounds like most of the quests available at my level here are dependent on completing this one. Is that how people manage it -- big teams? Teaming with much higher level people? Because it seems impossible to complete otherwise, if there are people with high-level characters picking questers off the moment they hit the PvP area.
Who am I supposed to message to get an invite to the TA guild? I'm a Level 31 Ranger on Arcadian Forest - most of the names on the Official Thread who it says to ask for an invite are either offline, or non-existent. In other words... who are the 'regulars' from TA, on the Arcadian Forest server?
I loved this game, but the server kicks me out(lost connection) every 5 minutes in rush period. I need to either sit in coffee shop or home whole day to access WIFI in order to enjoy the game is another reason I'm NOT addict on it. I'm quitting now, that's sad!
Well as far as your build goes I have seen high-level warriors that do go dual-wield, so it's not all bad. For dual-wield skills i suggest Off-hand Expert and Dual-wield Expert instead of Two-hand Expert, Vortex Blade, and you don't really need Decapitate unless you want it for finishers. Plus, if you really want to, you can always reskill and go two-hand. As far as the teams go it's really character-dependent. I've gone through most of the game with 3 characters already. In the swamp I've solo-ed all of the quests with my ranger and my monk, and only for one quest did I need to team up for my warrior. It's definitely not mandatory to team to get through the swamp, though it does help quite a bit for specific quests. The sheriff chain of quests is especially annoying since about 10 people are always fighting to talk to him, and the quest chain requires everyone to talk to him about 6 times in total. So you'll be back there a ton just waiting for the escort quest people to finish. It's kind of a minor design flaw, but you just have to deal with it.
We are approaching the end of June and still no update. I wonder if Gameloft still plans on hitting their June release for the first update?
I would think beginning to mid July when we get the update. Seems like they may have bit off more than they could chew.
The complaints are seriously starting to pile up for Gameloft. Especially game-breaking elements such as PvP, graveyard camping, and the little to no amount of quests in the final 2 areas are really starting to piss people off. I don't even want to go through the desert with any of my characters anymore after my first level 60 grind.
Or maybe they are purposefully stalling to drop the update closer to the end of July, in order to entice people to pay for more time (July 27th marks the end of the three free months for those who picked this up on release day). I haven't been on in quite some time, just been too busy for MMO life, heh. Which is good, because my warrior is sitting at level 48, so I'll hold off playing until those extra quests are added.
